Golf: an expensive but fun sport I am really enjoying

I have been playing a lot of golf recently after finally giving the sport A proper go A few weeks ago. In the past week I picked up my first and very cheap full Golfing set, it was cheap because it is second hand and I purchased it from the local recycling center.
This is the set I picked up it contained all the clubs including two drivers, the only thing missing was, of course, the Golf bag and they are pretty pricey too. I also picked up A few golf balls there too as in my local sports shops they are around £10 for A few so it was nice to get some balls much cheaper too.
So where have I been playing golf?
Here in my area of the UK, there are quite a lot of golf courses around some bigger than others but they are all fairly big and challenging the only downside is some of these courses have very expensive memberships with some costing £750 upwards each year so I have instead been playing on the course on Sunday afternoons as my local one shuts very early due to the early dark nights and because it also runs along a park and public foot trails it makes sense to just have A bit of fun.
Another place I have been playing is at the Golf drive range, this venue is much further from me and is tricky to get to without public transport as it's A good 30-minute car trip away but for what the venue does it is worth it.
the golf drive range sits on an open field similar to an outdoor shooting range and has many bays for golfers to use, it is relatively cheap costing £7 for 100 Golf balls. I normally get myself 200 balls and it takes me around an hour to get through them all the venue also serves food and drink to keep me warm during the cold evenings which I have been visiting. Another fantastic feature of this range is that there is also A few bays that have simulators, they cost around £10 for every 30 minutes of use but they track the ball and you can play against others, play virtual courses, and also mini-games for younger golfers.

Still need to work on my form but I am getting just over 150 yards on my driving shots which I'm proud of.
Overall Golf is A sport I am enjoying playing what makes it fun for me is that I don't have to have people to play with and I can go out when I want to play.
