I visited the Driving range again this weekend, it has been A good couple of months since my last visit. I am looking to practice and improve my drives, and tee shots and further perfect my technique. I am looking to practice as much as I can before spring come around as by then I am hoping to visit some free Golf courses and actually play A round of golf. Golf places are extremely expensive but luckily A local park has A decent-sized golf course that I could possibly use for free there is A section of course that runs along A public path so I see nothing wrong with sneaking A go in hehe.

Thanks for reading.

I used to play golf with a particular group of friends but that was 20 years ago. We’ve been to the driving range recently but not out on the course. I think it’s a time thing as we now do different things. Do enjoy the driving range though!!

That is good to hear that you still enjoy it. I have never been interested in golf I found it so expensive and stuff but after buying A golf club set from the charity shop at the rubbish center as it was super cheap and visiting the driving range I took A big interest in it.

Sadly I have no friends that are interested so I will be playing Solo but oh well. :)

Once upon a time there were a big group of us who liked to go and play on pay and play municipal courses, the cheaper ones that is. They’ve all become far more expensive plus we’ve all got families now and other interests have taken its place. Have you got Topgolf in your area? It’s a driving range with targets and a computerised gaming system, you can score points and compete against your mates. It’s a blast!

Sadly the uk only has 3 Topgolfs and they are all in London I'm not close to there sadly.

The courses around me are very expensive but my local one normally closes at 6pm but as its connected to a public woods I may just sneak on in the evenings before sunset to play. I spoke to a older guy at the range he said he does it often as otherwise its around £1150 A year for that golf course

£1150 a year is absurd, equivalent to joining David Lloyd leisure clubs which are also way too expensive. So I’m not surprised people hop over the fence as it were. Courses are being snapped up by housing developers around here and there are less of them. Many of those I played on when I was 20 or so have gone.
