Kampfgeist belohnt: Ein unentschiedenes Spiel mit Aufholjagd!

Ein unglückliches und teilweise dummes Spiel führte zu einem hart erkämpften Punktgewinn für die Adler. Obwohl sie zunächst mit einem 2:0-Rückstand zu kämpfen hatten, bewiesen sie eine beeindruckende Moral und kämpften sich zurück ins Spiel.

Veränderungen in der Aufstellung

Trainer Toppmöller sah sich gezwungen, Koch durch Smolcic zu ersetzen. In der Dreierkette waren Pacho und Tuta ebenfalls dabei. Ansonsten blieb die erfolgreiche Elf der letzten Wochen unverändert. Frankfurt spielte überlegen und zeigte den besseren Fußball, während Werder mit gefährlichen Kontern immer wieder für Gefahr sorgte.

Chancen auf beiden Seiten

Chaibi sorgte kurz vor der Pause mit einem großartigen Schuss für Aufregung. Der Torwart konnte den Ball gerade noch zur Ecke parieren. Chaibi führte den Eckstoß aus, und im Strafraum der Bremer versammelte sich die gesamte Frankfurter Abwehrprominenz: Tuta, Smolcic, Pacho. Doch leider wurde die Ecke abgewehrt, und der fehlerhafte Max rannte den guten Buta um. Borré hatte daraufhin freie Bahn auf das Tor. Doch Buta konnte den Ball im Sprint eigentlich klären. Knauff hätte nur außerhalb des eigenen Strafraums den Ball und den Gegner wegschlagen müssen, dann wäre nichts passiert. Aber er wartete, bis Stage im Strafraum war, um ihn dann umzureißen. Elfmeter. Eine saudumme und unnötige Aktion! Duksch verwandelte den Elfmeter erfolgreich. Knauff hatte einen rabenschwarzen Tag erwischt, wie sich noch zeigen sollte. Es ging in die Pause!

Veränderungen zur zweiten Halbzeit

Nach der Pause kam Ebimbe für Buta ins Spiel (warum auch immer?) und Götze ersetzte den gelb-rot gefährdeten Chaibi. Endlich wurde der unfähige Max ausgewechselt. Er ist kein Stammspieler - weder vorne noch hinten versteht er das Spiel und steht entweder im Weg herum oder verursacht schöne Vorlagen für den Gegner. Ich möchte ihn nicht mehr sehen. Nkunkou kam für ihn und zeigte in den wenigen Aktionen mehr Power, Speed, Aggressivität und Lust am Kicken, als Max es je in seiner Karriere hatte. Aber Moment mal, da war noch etwas: Die Eintracht kam schlafend aus der Pause, und Pacho - der Inbegriff von Sicherheit und Konstanz - klärte einen ungefährlichen Ball in die Mitte. Der Bremer flankte den Ball zu Borré, der freistehend an den Pfosten köpfte. Ausgerechnet er, der Kommandant, erzielte das 2:0. Grausam! Jetzt musste die Eintracht wirklich einen dicken Brocken schieben.

Fehlende Effizienz vor dem Tor

Dann kam der Moment von Knauff: Eine tolle Kombination über Götze, Ebimbe zu Knauff. Er stand alleine vor dem Tor - aber wie schon gegen Viktoria Köln zögerte er, nahm den Ball an, verpatzte ihn fast und schoss ihn dann 8 Meter über das Tor, anstatt mit voller Wucht ins Netz zu jagen. Sehr schwach und eine glatte 6 für Ansgar. Trainer Dino wechselte ihn direkt aus. Hauge kam ins Spiel. Während seiner Einwechslung gab es einen Einwurf für die SGE, Verwirrung im Strafraum der Bremer, Skhiri schnappte sich den Ball und jagte ihn aus 16 Metern ins Netz! Ein toller Schuss! Warum macht er das nicht öfter? 2:1 und die Eintracht drängte weiter nach vorne. Ein Freistoß von Marmousch, Tuta köpfte in die Mitte und Smolcic hämmerte den Ball zum Ausgleich ins Netz. Wahnsinn! Es waren noch 20 Minuten zu spielen, Skhiri, Götze und Marmousch hatten noch riesige Chancen, aber sie wurden entweder auf der Linie geklärt oder gingen knapp vorbei. Bremen hatte noch einen tollen Abschluss durch Duksch, aber Trapp hielt hervorragend. Es passierte nichts mehr. Und beide Mannschaften trennten sich mit einem Punkt. Schade - da war mehr drin.

Zusammenfassung und Ausblick

Mit nun 18 Punkten steht die Eintracht weiterhin solide in der Tabelle. Nach der Länderspielpause geht es weiter gegen ein starkes Stuttgart. Das wird ein Fest!

Frankfurt played dominantly and showcased superior football, while Werder constantly posed a threat with dangerous counterattacks.

Chaibi caused excitement shortly before halftime with a fantastic shot. The goalkeeper just managed to parry the ball for a corner. Chaibi took the corner, and the entire Frankfurt defense lined up in the Bremen penalty area: Tuta, Smolcic, Pacho. However, the corner was cleared, and Max's faulty challenge knocked down the talented Buta. Borré then had a clear path to goal. Buta could have cleared the ball and the opponent outside the penalty area, but he waited until Stage was inside the box to bring him down. Penalty. A foolish and unnecessary action! He is not a regular player - he doesn't understand the game either upfront or at the back, either getting in the way or providing beautiful assists for the opponent. I don't want to see him anymore. Nkunkou replaced him and showed more power, speed, aggression, and passion for the game in the few actions than Max has ever had in his career. But wait, there was something else: Frankfurt came out of the break half-asleep, and Pacho - the epitome of security and consistency - cleared a harmless ball into the middle. The Bremen player crossed the ball to Borré, who headed it against the post while unmarked. Of all people, the commander scored the 2-0. Terrible! Now, Frankfurt really had to push hard.

Lack of Efficiency in Front of the Goal

Then came Knauff's moment: a great combination involving Götze, Ebimbe, and Knauff. He was alone in front of the goal - but just like against Viktoria Köln, he hesitated, almost messed up the ball, and then shot it 8 meters over the goal instead of smashing it into the net with full force. Very weak, and a straight 6 for Ansgar. Coach Dino immediately substituted him. Hauge came on. During his substitution, there was a throw-in for SGE, confusion in the Bremen penalty area, Skhiri grabbed the ball and blasted it into the net from 16 meters! A fantastic shot! Why doesn't he do that more often? 2-1, and Frankfurt continued to push forward. A free-kick from Marmousch, Tuta headed it towards the center, and Smolcic hammered the ball into the net to equalize. Unbelievable! There were still 20 minutes to play, Skhiri, Götze, and Marmousch had huge chances, but they were either cleared off the line or narrowly missed. Bremen had a great chance through Duksch, but Trapp made an excellent save. Nothing else happened, and both teams ended up with a point. A shame - there was more to be had.

With 18 points now, Eintracht Frankfurt remains solid in the table. After the international break, they will face a strong Stuttgart. That will be a celebration!
