Because it is so hot outside, I decided to make an avocado milkshake today. A sweet cooler is the best way to beat the heat. I had an interesting experience when a non-Filipino friend came to visit our house two summers ago. During harvest season, we often have a lot of avocados on the table, and the visitor was amazed by our abundance of fruit like avocado, which she claimed was pricey in her country. She expressed excitement about making guacamole. Guacamole?! You sit down there, and I'll make you an avocado with milk and ice! That's what I said to her. She thought avocado, milk, and sugar sounded strange, so she was taken aback and initially hesitant to try. I advised her to test it out first. And that's how she discovered the goodness of avocado in a dessert or cooler, not just in guacamole!
