That seems like a nice little upgrade, hopefully it stands up to muster for quality! I agree with you, I like having the factory nose on it more than what they gave you in the kit. It fits the gun better!

One of my next investments for this year is going to be some kind of holster for me to carry mine. Our son and I will be spending far more time outdoors and probably in a lot more woods away from people so I want to start carrying mine, preferably in a holster. I just need to find one that fits and seems comfortable.

Holsters are very much a personal preference kind of thing. I've been through several. I find myself using the Remora "sticky" pocket holster the most often. It works in the pocket obviously, but also a very comfortable IWB and the sticky rubber keeps it in place even better than most clip holsters. There is no retention strap to keep the weapon secured under heavy activity, or from dislodging and getting lost, so it would not be my 1st choice for woods carry. I found a Tactica Belly band very nice, especially when worn higher around the chest. It has a nice kydex holster for retention, and a canted angle that makes it faster and easier to draw. I also have an Aliengear shoulder rig that I like, it also can be adjusted for either vertical or angled cant carry, and also allows for two extra magazines (it does not fit the laser though). I have also tried a Sneaky Pete in plain sight OWB, seems kind of large, but may have uses.

The "Naked holster" Looks interesting, it's basically just a clip that covers the trigger and clips it to the belt. For use with the Laser, I go back to the Remora, or also have a leather shoulder rig from J&B leather. I hear a lot of folks really liking the Vedder holsters as well, but haven't tried one.

There's a few options if you're in the market. After all that, I don't actually carry this in the woods. It stays in my car while at home so I don't forget it when going out, and then is just my "city" carry gun. For the woods, I like to carry the larger .460 Rowland in a Chest holster, mainly just because we do have quite a few Bears and Lions in our woods up here (and they are apparently re-introducing Gray Wolves this year!) and I prefer the extra stopping power just in case I run across an angry one.
