it was a rough night but I still had a good day. Did you?

I've been stressing about things that are outside of my control. It makes my stomach tense up at a really deep level and feels like my whole digestive system shita down.
It's not pleasant and makes quality sleep impossible.
Thankfully, I realised a few months ago that if I consciously practise being present, relaxed and grateful for what is working well in my day, then everything else works better.
It's a process; it's not yet automatic. But practise makes perfect, right?
How was your day?

I'm a HUGE believer of just 'getting on with it' after a sleepless night. You just 'pretend' you had enough sleep, and your brain goes 'okay then!' and you're good. It's a super power!
Hmmm. Pretending, hey? I shall have to give that a try... !HUG
It is true that acknowledging what we cannot control is the first step towards freeing ourselves from the burden of stress. Practising mindfulness and gratitude not only anchors us in the moment, but also allows us to appreciate the small victories along the way. Every attempt, no matter how small, brings us closer to greater serenity.
