We explored Adelaide CBD today. It was hot 🥵

We're staying in one corner of the rectangle that makes up Adelaide CBD. And it's convenient because we can do a short drive to parkrun tomorrow and we were able to walk to Chinatown and Adelaide Central Market.
It was fun to be in a market environment again.
Busy. People moving everywhere. Different sights and sounds and smells. It was novel after being on spacious, quiet Kangaroo Island.
I really enjoy being at markets when I'm in safe locations, where it's busy but I'm not too worried about people stealing things.
Adelaide feels pretty safe.
Sure, it has its corners and its challenges but the CBD feels similar, from a safety perspective, to Sydney which is the city I know best.
Adelaide Central Market: worth a visit!

It is fascinating to observe how our surroundings shape our inner peace. Your transition from the tranquillity of the island to the hustle and bustle of the market reflects a great stoic wisdom: the ability to find order and serenity even amid external turmoil.
The security you perceive is not only a condition of the place, but a reflection of your willingness to trust in social harmony and in the virtue of those around you. Appreciating the vitality of everyday life and recognising the beauty in contrast is what allows us to live with purpose. Enjoying that security is a privilege that invites us to be fully present, appreciating every story that crosses our path. Without a doubt, the Central Market is a reminder that the true wealth of a society lies in its ability to coexist and share in freedom.
