Cricket - India Vs Ireland - A Chance For Youngsters To Stamp Impression Before ICC World Cup Team Selection

After a disappointing end to West Indies tour where India lost the T20I series 2-3, India will be keen to start the tour of Ireland on a winning note in the 3 match T20I series they are starting from today.

It will be an interesting tour for India as couple of comeback men in pace spearhead and also the captain for this tour Jasprit Bumrah and another pacer Prasidh Krishna are 2 key members who will be key members for India in the upcoming ODI World Cup.

Bumrah has been out of the India team for over Eleven months due to back injury. But, a fully fit Bumrah is back after successful surgery and rehabilitation at NCA in Bangalore and he will be key for India as besides his bowling, he is also the captain for India team for this tour.

Prasidh Krishna is another guy who was a regular in Indian T20I and ODI team after Bhuvaneshwar Kumar's slump in form and he will be eager to regain the form and his place in India team.

On the batting side, India have Yashaswi Jaiswal, Ishan Kishan and Tilak Varma who were part of the West Indies tour as well, but apart from these players, India will also have the services of CSK star Ruturaj Gaikwad and KKR player Rinku Singh who are most likely to play in the First match with wicket keeper's spot will be occupied by One of Sanju Samson or Jitesh Sharma.

With Samson getting lots of opportunities without much luck, it might be wise to give a chance to young Jitesh as he also played as finisher for his respective IPL team and India badly needs One after Dinesh Karthick.

One of the main issues for India on tour to West Indies was the lack of allrounders to have some batting solidarity lower down the order which caused them the series loss.

Even coach Rahul Dravid mentioned the same and I think that made the selectors to select as many as 3 allrounders for this tour to Ireland with Washington Sundar, Shivam Dube and Shahbaz Ahmed all finding a place and mostly, Dube and Sundar will get the nod ahead of Shahbaz Ahmed.

Overall, it will be an interesting tour and with this young team, India will be hoping to come up triumphant, but, Ireland is not a pushover team and it will be a well contested tour for sure.
