Cricket is something I keep following and it's something I can't live without.

I have to write about the ongoing test match between India and England as 3 comeback men have kept rocking and kept their respective team's chances of winning the Oval test intact as the Second day's play is over.

Here I go with the 3 Cricketers who missed some tests in the ongoing series or even before that due to injuries or their teams having played some other player based on the condition of the pitch.

Chris Woakes made a great comeback to test Cricket after a gap of more than a year as he last played in August 2020.

Woakes was so effective in India's First innings yesterday that, he accounted for 4 of India's wickets including those of Rohit Sharma, Ravindra Jadeja, Rishabh Pant and India's highest scorer in this test, Shardul Thakur.

Woakes was a the highest wicket taker in the First innings and when his batting turn came, England were already having lead against India and his 50 runs innings helped England to add 70 more runs from him and the lower order batsmen.

Woakes with this all-round performance made a good comeback and he will definitely get chances over Sam Curran who has been inconsistent in this series so far.

Umesh Yadav - India:

India right now has good fast bowlers in Jasprit Bumrah, Ishant Sharma, Mohammed Shami and Mohammed Siraj who had been the sure starters for India in England.

But, when One or Two of them gets injured or someone needs to be rested, then players like Umesh Yadav and Shardul Thakur will come into contention for a place in playing XI.

Umesh Yadav got a chance to play in the Fourth Test as Mohammed Shami was injured.

Umesh made good use of the opportunity he got to play for India after a gap of 9 months as he last played a test in Australia in December 2020.

Umesh was instrumental in getting rid of thorn in India's flesh so far in the going series, i.e. Joe Root as he bowled him out and he also accounted for Dawid Malan and night watchman Craig Overton.

Root's wicket was the most pleasing one as Root has been the pick of English batters with him being the top scorer in this series with 2 centuries and couple of 50+ scores.

Umesh even helped India add close to 70 runs along with another comeback man Shardul Thakur.

Shardul Thakur - India:

Shardul Thakur was someone who expresses himself a lot as a batter and he has been India's rescue man off late even in Australia when India toured earlier this year.

Shardul was instrumental in India getting a respectable total of 190 after being asked to bat by England after winning the toss.

Shardul joined Rishabh Pant when Ajinkya Rahane got out when India's score was 117 for the loss of 6 wickets.

When even Rishabh Pant got out early, it was Shardul Thakur along with lower order batsmen especially Umesh Yadav, they added 63 runs and Shardul scored 57 of those with his half century from just 31 balls!!!

In scoring that 50, his Second in total, he became the fastest to score a Fifty in The Oval breaking Ian Botham's longstanding record created in 1986 and Bothom took 32 balls to get to his Fifty.

Shardul was also good with the bowl as he was the who removed Ollie Pope and ensured England won't get much bigger lead.

These 3 men, enjoyed their comeback into test Cricket and entertained Cricket lovers.

Looking forward to the Second innings for both teams to see how much more impact these 3 can do to take home their respective team.

Until then, bye bye guys.

Have a great day :)
