The quarter-finals of the Belgian cup are on the schedule during the mid-week with 2 matches today and 2 tomorrow. I also already have an early bet for week 21 in the league next Sunday/Monday (see below). Since it is the quarter-finals I assume all teams will take these matches seriously fielding their A-Squad.

Mechelen vs Eupen

Mechelen is a team with highs and lows in that they are able to put excellent performances followed by really poor ones and the only real indication of what it will be I have is the line movements on the Asian market. They lost last weekend with a 3-2 score against Zulte-Waregem which was not undeserved even though 2 goals from the home team came in extra time. Schoofs who is one of their better players is still out and so is Van Damme so some injury worries for Mechelen. Storm is currently in an excellent form easily finding the goals. Eupen as a team has seen a lot of regression to the mean after a hot season start. They lost 0-4 to Charleroi at home in the weekend which was an exaggerated score with Charleroi scoring at near 100% and Eupen mainly avoiding fatigue in the 2nd half. I would not be surprised if this turns out in a real cup match tonight meaning teams that just freely play for the win. Mechelen should be better but I don't trust the sharp line movement and I don't see Eupen without a chance. I do like the over and I got a 0.34 unit pre-game bet in on KV Mechelen Team Total Over 1.5 @ 1.810 with an eye to take more bets in-game possibly on the FT over or both teams to score / Eupen to score. 7 out of the last 8 matches from Eupen had at least 10 corners, for Mechelen this has been 8 out of the last 11. The line has been set at over 11 so it has been somewhat adjusted. It remains something I will keep an eye out for.

AA Gent vs Standard

AA Gent remains a hot team in good form right now while Standard continues not to live up to their status of top team just not having enough quality in their team which showed again in a loss against OHL last weekend. Standard actually was not that bad last weekend but AA Gent should always be the team with overall a lot more quality today. These teams also faced not so long ago in week 16 of the league where AA Gent win with a deserved 3-1 score. Standard started the match with defensive intentions while AA Gent was good creating a lot of corners and scoring the 1-0 already in the 1st half deserved which made Standard have more offensive intentions in the 2nd half causing more goals to come in the match. The bet I am by far the most comfortable with is AA Gent 1st Half -0.25 @ 1.810 which I took for 0.4 units. I also like AA Gent -0.75 & AA Gent Team Total over which I might get some of in-game. Even AA Gent -1.5 at higher odds is an option.

Early League bets
More bets against Standard which I see as the most overrated team on the betting market. Zulte I see as one of the most underrated which also shows in their numbers. They picked up confidence under their new coach last week, Standard will play without fans & have a mid-week cup match causing extra fatigue. Zulte-Waregem +0 @ 4.06 (0.166 units)& Zulte-Waregem +1 @ 1.907 (0.600 units) are the bets I got in on Sportmarket pro ad I might also take it on Copytip if I get some confirmation tonight.
