There are 2 cup matches this mid-week and 1 match between Standard and Beerschot that was postponed from round 19 in the league. The Previews as always

Standard vs Beerschot

This is another match where Beerschot has no choice but to win while Standard can't affors another loss. The home team lost deserved with 0-1 against Gent in a match that could have been a bigger score despite the ref being crazy in their favor doing everything to at least give them a point. Even with 11 vs 10 they didn't manage to do anything against AA Gent. They did start with good intentions but it didn't last that long. Beerschot took another loss after getting a 2-1 lead early in the 2nd half still losing 2-3 against a bad Charleroi. Standard has been a bad home team going 4W-8.5L-1.5P while Beerschot is a bad away team going 4W-7.5L-1.5P. It looks like fans will be back in the stadium but I'm not sure how far that will help or add to the pressure. I don't deem it impossible for either of these teams to win or lose this match or to see a collapse from Beerschot. Basically, both are not teams I'm willing to back pre-game. I can see Standard taking a start with really good intentions but they will have to watch out for counters and it remains a question for how long they will be able to keep it up this time. No Pre-GAme Bets

Club Brugge vs AA Gent

The first match in this 2-legger ended with a 0-1 victory for Club Brugge against Play with a few days after the league match resulting in a 1-2 win for AA Gent. Overall this year, AA Gent has been the better team in these matchups but Club Brugge also seems to have picked up their form playing their best match last weekend against Antwerp. They likely still will be without De Ketelaere who had covid while defender Hendry is injured. AA Gens looks to be pretty complete and needs to win the match by 1 goal in order to play extra time or by 2 or more to advance. This makes it that a draw is enough for Club Brugge and they might not be willing to take all too much risk as long as the draw is on the scoreboard. I also don't expect AA Gent to go full-force ahead with the risk of getting countered and having to score 2. I'm sure they would sing for a 1 goal win and extra time/penalties in this encounter. It's enough for me to just take a minor 0.2 unit position on 1st Half Under 1 @ 2.010 with no hesitation to sell the position of the match turns out to be more open than expected.
