Euro 2020 Day #06 Previews

I am following the European Football Championship making previews on all matches while having some fun betting small stakes.

Interesting Tuesday with everyone and their mother being on France while sharp money seemed to be on Germany which usually end up in the big guys being right. This was one of the rare occasions where it didn't work out. I had limited betting action but did manage to go 2W-1L-1P for yet another profitable day and this tournament is going way better than expected which makes me kind of regret keeping my stakes low. There are still many matches to be played so it all can come crashing down again especially if i would increase my stakes now which I'm not going to do. Making a plan and sticking to it is what has proven for me to be a winning strategy so I'm sticking to it.

Finland vs Russia

Finland took the upset win in the match against Denmark which was dominated by the Eriksen event which had a major impact on mostly the Denmark players. Russia will be playing at home again and was simply not good enough against Belgium and Lukaku seeing their mistakes being punished. A match where Russia moves forward while Finland lures on the counter can be expected and all the lines are pretty much set to that. The main potential bet I will be looking out for is Finland to score (currently ~1.90 odds) as Russia only managed to get 1 clean sheet in their last 8 matches. No Pre-Game Bets

Turkey vs Wales

Turkey fell short against Italy losing 0-3 mostly playing the counter-game and putting up a generally disappointing performance. Wales played a 1-1 draw against Switzerland also playing the counter game being able to come back from being 0-1 behind as the Swiss crawled back after taking the lead. Turkey plays closer to home and should have the majority of the support in the stadium. I backed Switzerland on the corners in 1st half as a pre-game bet for the last match of Wales which won easily. I do expect Turkey to be the team that at least tries to take the initiative and once again will oppose Wales (who haven't won a corner matchup in their last 7 matches) on the Corners in the 1st half taking 0.2 Units on Turkey 1st Half +0 Corners @ 1.80

Italy vs Switzerland

Italy took a deserved win in the match against a disappointing Turkey making the 0-1 early in the 2nd half with an own goal to remain the better team which kept pushing after making it a clean 0-3 win. Switzerland was the slight better and patient team against Wales but crawled back after taking the lead digging their own hole. Italy is now unbeaten in 28 matches and kept a clean sheet in their last 9. Italy deserves to be the clear favorite but likely will face a wall at the start of this match. I once again went for the corners market taking a 0.2 unit bet on Italy 1st half -1 Corners @ 1.890
