Yesterday was one of those rare times where I didn't put up a preview on the match that day due to a combination of lack of time while also not really having an outspoken view or bets. I did share my brief view on the SBC Discord and also ended up having some live bets/trades on the under which ended up producing a profit of 0.16 units combined. All these previews are also posted there first the moment I have them complete and have taken the bets myself.
Today there are 3 Europa League matches to have a look at...
Lech Poznan vs Standard
Standard (75M) did not show enough conviction at home against Rangers and simply were not good enough at home against Benfica leaving them with 0 points in the last place. Lech Poznan (26M) also lost their first 2 matches and are currently 10th in the league getting at least 1 goal against in their last 7 games. They are the team that beat Charleroi in a match where it can't be said that they were the better team. One of the major factors tonight will be the Standard defense as they have many missings. Vanheusden (their most expensive player) got a brutal injury (
Video) last weekend and will be out for at least 6 months while both Fai and Laifis are hit by Covid. For both teams it's the match of the last chance and a win is pretty much a must at this point if they want to keep a chance on progressing. I'm not exactly sure if there will be fans in the stadium. Under normal circumstances, Standard should be the slightly better team. There is the factor of their defense being out while also likely some emotional motivation by the team for Vanheusden (In a similar way it was the cars with Van Damme from Cercle). Both teams need a win, Standard is weakened in defense and Poznan always gets a goal against. This makes me look at both the over and Standard Team Total over. There is no need to rush into it though and I will just wait it out to see how the match is being played before placing any bets.
No Pre-Game Bets
Red Star Belgrade vs AA Gent
AA Gent (77M) has been in a slump this season and are in 12th place in the league and last in their Europa League group with 0 points. One of their main issues is that they too easily get goals against. Last weekend, however, they saw Odidja return from an injury that made a world of difference winning 1-4 against Waasland (who are honestly quite bad) making the difference in the 1st half with an in-form Yaremchuk who scored 3 goals. Today they face Red Star Belgrade (46M) who are on top of their league in Servia with 11W-0L-2D and a 39-5 goal Saldo. They won 5-1 at home from Liberec while AA Gent (Despite it being clear that they had a lot more quality) lost 1-0 against Liberec (13M). AA Gent will have to field Coosemans as Goalkeeper since Bolat is suspended and Roef is hit with Covid along with their coach will also not be there. I don't see these as that much of a factor honestly. I feel the line has been set fully on the fact that Red Star is in the lead with impressive stats in the league while AA Gent is having a bad streak combined with some covid missings. What I mainly see is AA Gent being the team with the higher Budget who have key player Odidja back taking a win last weekend with Striker Yaremchuk in good form being the ~4.40 underdog while Red Star did draw in 2 of their 3 latest league matches against Javor (5.4M) & Partizan (33M). I had to take a small gamble on
AA Gent -0.5 @ 4.517 along with a small initial bet on
AA Gent Team Total Over 1 @ 1.90 with an eye to maybe take more on that or on the over Live.
Yaremchuk as Anytime Goalscorer @ 3.50 over at
Wink.org also feels overpriced and I also took a 400 TRX beer bet on that.
Antwerp vs LASK Linz
Antwerp (53M) so far has been an underrated team in Europe with some stand-out performances winning their first 2 matches against Ludogorets 1-2 and Tottenham 1-0 without it being a hold up. Last weekend, they did show a bit of decompression combined with some players being rested but did not really deserve to lose against Anderlecht who had to play defensive. LASK Linz( 35M) lost 3-0 away against Tottenham and took a 4-3 home win against Ludogorets. In the Austrian League, they are currently in 3rd place and play with a lot of energy and pressing. Last season they played Club Brugge in the Champions League qualifier round who beat them 2-1 at home and 0-1 Away in matches that certainly were not easy. Overall I see Antwerp as a bit underrated in this match because they come from Pot4 in the group and have no big name in Europe while LASK is a regular. Antwerp however has been very strong in Europe and do have a higher overall team value which makes me believe the current odds on the +0 line (2.060-1.869) should, in fact, be reversed (1.869-2.060).
