Gambling Dapp Dividends Report | Waiting to Buy RLB

avatar

I am keeping close track of my Gambling Dapp Portfolio that now only includes BFG (Betfury.io) & SBET (Sportbet.one) with regular updates on how exactly they are doing showing what can be expected for those interested...

It was a rather low Dividend week but still not too bad. There is variance in these things depending on the betting action on the market creating some excellent weeks like last times while other times it's on the low end. My main hope and anticipation remains that the numbers will increase over time as crypto gets more adoption.

Rollbit.com (RLB)

I continue to be intrigued by Rollbit.com but for now I'm holding off to buying some RLB as it's up +1050% in the last 30 days. It's just rarely smart to buy into hype and give into the fomo. The current price is 0.026$ for 1 RLBwith nearly no liquidity as a 1000$ RLB buy pushes the price up by +7.32%. This gives the 5 Billion total supply the site a market cap of 130 Million while just 20% of the profit gets distributed. The token is deflationary over time as 50% of the 0.2% tax to stake RLB into the lottery daily gets burned.

I had some more fun with the leverage trading but it's not something I really will get into heavily. One of the things I don't like about Rollbit is also the bookmaker which is just a copy-paste of the software and odds other projects like betfury use. In that regard, Sportbet.one really stands out as they have their own odds that also go up or down directly based on money that comes in.

So for now investing in RLB is a pass even though I will look further into the platform for sure and keep track of things.

Sportbet.one (SBET)

This for sure was one of the weaker weeks when it came down to SBET dividends but it still by no means was bad. I am quite heavily invested in it so I do really feel the difference in overall earnings during weeks like this. One of the weak points also remains that the dividends are very whale centered and things would get a big hit in case some of these players would leave the platform. That said, for as far as placing crypto bets myself, sportbet.one is one of my favorites that I use the most myself and I never had any issues.

The long-term numbers still look quite good and stable and it's still all about waiting for potentially more adoption and at the same time hoping things don't fall flat completely.

Betfury.io (BFG)

Betfury pretty much does what it does and things seem to have stabilized with the price and the dividend pool no longer falling. It could be setting a base to go up, turn into a more stable coin with steady returns or fall further if it turns out that the BFG mining incentives gone pushes gamblers away.

The general price increase of the crypto market also somewhat translated to the prices of these coins while dividends and adoption hasn't increased that much meaning the returns have come down.

APY Based on Current Price and Dividends from the last 7 days

All these numbers are based on prices of Monday

ProjectAPY
Betfury.io (BFG)+37.88% APY
Sportbet.one (SBET)+23.76% APY

Note: Token prices going up or down have a major influence on the actual returns going forward either amplifying them if they go up or destroying them when the price would dip even though I'm already too heavily invested.

Personal Gambling Dapp Portfolio

This was the first time in a while getting less than 200$ in weekly dividends for holding 8MSBET and 550k BFG. I'm also still looking to diversify with other good gambling dapps that pay the losses or fees from the gambler to those holding a token. Anyone that has tips on this, please leave a comment below...

I remember the HYPE around gambling apps when they were starting on Tron... It was so huge that it was moving the whole crypto market... But, as you said, the FOMO around "coin mining" through gambling attracted a lot more investors, than people who like to gamble... It was a great move to attract many eyeballs at that moment, but it's nice to see that "crypto gambling" is going into those REAL gambling spheres, where we should see steady income for investors in platforms and tokens like you...

Compared to other crypto tokens/projects, gambling websites can have the healthiest tokenomics of all!

I have picked this post on behalf of the @OurPick project which will be highlighted in the next post!

The mining mechanics are good to get initial traction but most of those sites failed to deliver beyond that. I agree that good gambling sites that attract real users have a sustainable model. The main danger remains potential regulation.

You are right about regulations... As soon as these websites move to a "decentralized way" it would be better... I would rather invest in a decentralized solution (even if it looks worse) than in a top-notch centralized... If they can create a decentralized trading platform, a gambling website could be possible too...

I was checking the ones that you have listed... and the Sportbet looks great the only flaw is that it's on EOS... 😞 I hope that we will see something similar here on HIVE

Thanks for sharing your stats and opinions!

As you know by now, I also invest in Betfury; I believe that as time passes the platform stabilizes.

Coming from the gaming world I am calm from the point of view of users, gamblers are driven by something other than making money ... they play in the hope of easy money and when people (most of the time) still play more to recover... a spiral that leads to gambling addiction.

Humanly sorry but as an investor I am always convinced that the field of gambling is one of the most prosperous, obviously if you don't enter it as a player eh eh!

yeah, it's not the most ethical investment in the world but these sectors like gambling, drugs, alchohol, cigarettes, sex, guns, ... tend to do well both in the good and the bad times. Basically that is what it is, people who can't help themselves gamble all their money away and it goes to the house and the ones invested in the platforms.

As a player it's actually possible to get something out of it if you have your emotion under control and do the needed work. At least for me this last decade that has been the case even though it remains a real challenge. Being on the other side as an investor is far easier :)

Well it's definitely not the best of ethics; in reality I believe that it shouldn't even be demonized, everyone is free to make their own choices... some choose to be on the side of gains, others on the side of losses.

After all, life is always a matter of plans and evaluations, the line that divides success from defeat is not as subtle as it may seem, indeed in my view it is clear.
