The mid-week European matches didn't produce all too much action but still provided some good profit and I'm looking to continue this momentum in the league matches this weekend. I'm running late so I better get to the match for tonight between Kv Mechelen and Standard.

KV Mechelen vs Standard

Kv Mechelen has been a team with different faces so far this season at times playing really good while at other times just being nowhere sometimes in the same match which makes it hard to make a sensible prediction on them. They will be without Van Damme who provided some stability in the defensive midfield the last match which they won 0-2 against Charleroi. The win was flattering however with Mechelen being highly efficient thanks to Storm who is in great form right now. Standard right now remains a former top-team that is struggling and it has shown in both their play and their results never really convincing. Both teams are just outside of the top 8 with 13 points. Standard mostly focuses on the defensive keeping everything closed down which worked in most cases but when it didn't they got a ton of goals against (4 vs Union & 5 against Antwerp). I expect this match to start with Mechelen having a drive to move forward and Standard keeping a lot of focus on the defensive end. Standard had only 2 halves here there were 2 goals or more that came in those games where they got trashed. I think the chances of Standard being good enough defensively combined with Mechelen not having one of their days playing excellent with high efficiency is high enough to take a 0.5 unit pre-game bet on 1st Half Under 1.25 @ 1.932.
