After a 12-day break, the Belgian League is back and I'm looking forward to getting back into some betting action. I generally take a more cautious approach after a break as it's always kind of a new start. Tonight there is the first match between Club Brugge and Kortrijk

Club Brugge vs Kortrijk

Club Brugge is a tricky team when it comes down to betting as they tend to get big handicaps and it depends how much they are up to it for it to be covered as they don't always need to play at 100% which at times also backfires. This leaves them with a 4W-5L-1P record against the Asian Handicap especially lagging at home where they only have a 1W-4L record. Right now, I don't really have an indicator of what it's going to be with them so I can't say I'm confident either way. They do have an upcoming Champions League and a busy period ahead so energy conservation might be on their mind. Kortrijk saw their coach Elsner leave to Standard and assigned Belhocine as his replacement. The new coach also puts quite some importance on defense with Kortrijk so far has been an ok team overall. Basically, for this match, I'm not willing to bet against Club Brugge even though it's tempting to take Kortrijk at a +2 line knowing Club likely won't push beyond a 2 goal lead. Club Brugge does have an interesting stat at home winning their corners with 10-3 | 7-0 | 8-1 | 10-4 | 14-1 winning the first half combined by 19-5 which makes me look at the Club Brugge corners 1H if that becomes available at a -2 line early in the match. For now. I also might take a stab at Kortrijk + handicap in case Club Brugge has a 1 or 2 goal. No Pre-Game Bets
