Charleroi vs Eupen
Charleroi is having a pretty good form even though they were eliminated from the cup in the mid-week where they put some important A-Squad players on the bench. Today they are pretty complete with both Nicholson and Morioka in the team who are both important in the offensive end. They however haven't been crushing the numbers at home where 78.6% of the goals came in the 2nd half. They did win their last home match against Genk being willing to go forward. Eupen has been one of the revelations this season but they now seem to be in a stage of regression to the mean taking 2 losses in a row against what must be said were good teams (Gent & Union). They also left some players on the bench in the mid-week cup match. Eupen has really managed to put in the performances away going 5W-1L against their Asian handicaps. Looking purely at value, I'm tempted by the +0.5 @ 2.0+ line for Eupen but since they disappointed in the last match with their winning streak being broken I'm staying away. The main bet I'm looking at is a potential 2H over. The FT Draw probably would not be a bad score for both since they both have an equal number of points at 20. Charerloi also is a team that more than often takes a draw (5 out of 12 matches) so I took a tiny 0.15 unit stab at

Beerschot vs Seraing
Beerschot so far has just not been good enough and they took another loss last week against Anderlecht. Overall their performance just hasn't been there and they are deserved last in the standings with only 2 points being 7 behind. There has been some improvement but they always end up making mistakes here and there that cost them. More than anything, this is a match where they need to win but so far they haven't shown any reason why they will and in the cup match they also didn't really impress despite winning 0-4 against a lower league team. Seraing is in 16th place having 10 points advantage over Beerschot and they overall did look better. They played with a lot of substitutes also in the cup which showed that they will get in trouble in case they get hit by injuries not having the bench to keep up ok performances. They are 4L-1W in their last 5 matches mainly putting up the performances at home going 1.5W-4L-0.5P in away matches against the Asian Handicap. I'm left with not being willing to back Beerschot to all of a sudden start winning while having a hard time also to oppose them as Seraing hasn't exactly been the best away team. I do expect Beerschot to start the match with a drive forward while Seraing will play their usual counter-style game. Seraing away in their 5 most recent macthes went 10-2 | 5-3 | 10-6 | 7-1 | 8-2 on the corners against them. Beerschot isn't exactly a corners powerhouse but still went 3-3 at home this season on winning the matchup. I did take
Beerschot -0.5 Corners @ 1.847 and will potentially look to increase my position as the limits were ridiculously low.
Standard vs Kortrijk
Main talking point for this match is Coach Elsner who abandoned Kortrijk for Standard. On the one side it gives Standard a tactical edge as their coach knows all the weaknesses of Kortrijk while at the same time there will be feelings of revenge from Kortrijk. Just looking at both teams, Standard just hasn't been able to convince yet. Cercle was the better team against them last week with their goalkeeper Bodart being the best player of the match. Overall Standard is still on my list of teams to fade but especially away from home where they don't have the support from their fans. Kortrijk is in 8th place in the league and took a win against Oostende at home last week. I don't expect a wide-open start of the match and took a tiny initial 0.25 unit position on
1st Half under 1 @ 2.140. I don't see Kortrijk without chance today but they will be missing Palaversa and Derijck and I don't want to underestimate the Standard home advantage. -0.25 at around 2.0 odds for the home team seems about right so I'm staying away there.
Sint-Truiden vs Club Brugge
Tricky match to actually predict since Club Brugge so often plays at 70% especially with an eye on their Champions League match next week. Intrinsically they are the better team by far but this doesn't mean it will be an easy win. The artificial pitch always plays a part with Stvv in their last home match being the better team against Anderlecht. I'm not willing to get involved pre-game in this match as I never like 1.6 type away odds by default. Things I will be looking at is a potential comeback from Club Brugge in case they fall behind since they should be able to up the pressure when needed. I'm also looking at stvv and the corners in case Club Brugge takes a comfortable lead. They will inevitably slow down with an eye on the Champions League match.
