Some action on the mid-week cup matches even though I didn't have previews on them since the final line-ups tend to be very uncertain. I took a bad start on Tuesday losing around -0.7 units but I still managed to end around break even. Week 17 is here now with the first match on Friday.

Sint-Truiden vs Union

Union put up their least impressive performance last weekend at home against OHL and the big question now is if this is just a bump on the road or a reversal. I am now leaning toward the 2nd as the points they took so far which put them in the lead came just from excellent team performances and no team just goes out winning all matches. They are complete tonight and they have actually been better against the Asian handicap in away matches where they are 6W-1L-1P for far this season. Sint-Truiden also lost their match last weekend with 2-0 against Seraing and showed not to bring enough offensively. They did manage to really count on their defense lately and I do expect a similar style not giving much away. So Likely Union will be the team taking the initiative while Stvv will go their chance on the counter. My bet of choice is Union Team Total Over 1.5 @ 2.020 which I took a 0.3 unit stake on. I do see them having the quality to score at least 2 goals even against an organised Stvv especially if they take the lead. I'm keeping a lot of in-play betting options open hoping to first get some confirmation.
