The league is back to a state where there will be no fans in the stadiums which last time showed in the away teams more frequently covering their handicaps. One match today between Kortrijk and Antwerp is also postponed due to too many covid cases for Antwerp. I'm looking forward to a Sunday with 4 matches to handicap and cover in-game with hopefully some profitable betting action...

Cercle Brugge vs Club Brugge

Cercle Brugge has been putting up good performances for a while but also started taking point with a streak of 4 winning matches in a row which got them kind of out of instant trouble and they should have enough quality to survive. Last week their streak ended with a 3-2 away loss against Union after getting a 0-2 lead. They also picked up quite a few injuries and will be without home fans today which won't make all that much difference. Club Brugge also managed to start winning their matches after being eliminated in Europe but didn't get further than a 2-2 against Anderlecht which was a fair score over 90 minutes. Overall Club Brugge should have more quality in the team and they also really need the win since they are 6 points behind on Union in the standings. Given the fact that Cercle has important injuries combined with a broken win streak and no fans in the stadium while Club Brugge technically plays at home, I'm willing to take an initial 0.2 unit bet on Club Brugge -0.5 @ 1.752 as I see this as a match where the real odds are closed to 1.60-1.65 which I would stay away from. I also took a 0.1 unit bet on Club Brugge 1H -0.25 @ 1.955 since they are one of the best 1H teams while Cercle at home ranks at the bottom of those standings. Cercle has 62.5% of their goals at home in the 1st half while Club Brugge everything combined is 7W-4L on that over line. Combined, they are 14W-7L on 1H Over 1 and I don't see much reasons for this one to be an uber defensive match from the start. I took 0.2 units on 1st Half Over 1 @ 1.810. Still, plenty of room to get in more bets live.

Standard vs Zulte-Waregem

I already wrote about this game early this week. I see this as a match between an overrated team and an underrated team. Standard just has not shown the quality this season and are just a top team only by name which still seems calculated into their lines. Zulte-Waregem has not had the best season so far but their lines have been overly adjusted based on a couple performances where they just were nowhere. overall they still have crushed their Asian handicaps especially away from home where they are 7W-2L. They took an important win last week breaking the streak giving them some confidence. Standard on top will have more fatigue as they played (and lost) a mid-week cup match and this game will be played without fans. For me, the line is just too high and I'm willing to back Zulte-Waregem. I took 0.600 Units on Zulte-Waregem +1 @ 1.907 and also 0.166 units on Zulte-Waregem +0 @ 4.06. Zulte-Waregem team total over is also on my radar but I will wait to see the start of the game first. I also took a bit extra as crypto bets on Sportbet.one on Zulte +1 @ 1.890 and Zulte +0 @ 3.97 both for 25 EOS. Should be an interesting match.

Union vs AA Gent

This is a clash between 2 teams that are putting in the good results and are capable of keeping things closed in the defense. They are in fact the 2 best defenses in the league but they both also have scoring potential. Union will be complete while AA Gent will be without important player Vadis with Bezus who kind of is his replacement being questionable. My lean is on AA Gent +0.25 but I'm not quite ready to oppose Union especially with Gent being without Odidja. The match has the potential to both be a 0-0 draw or a crazy high score and I'm also not willing to gamble on that. AA Gent also had a mid-week cup match which was won by 3-1 against Standard. Oostende vs Racing Genk

Racing Genk with their new coach showed that there is still a lot of work for them to reach their potential last week and they will be without their best player Onuachu today who is injured. Oostende took a much-needed win last weekend with a 0-2 score against last in the league Beerschot and they showed that they should be ok against weaker teams with striker Gueye being of key importance. Both teams have been quite high on corners lately with an average of 11.8 in their last 14 matches combined. I do expect a match where both teams are willing to go forward which should result in corners. I took a tiny initial bet on Over 11.5 corners @ 2.670 with an eye to increase my stake in-game when limits are a lot better.
