I'm down about -0.4 units so far this week as the corner bets in the Europa League match from Genk didn't deliver. I am however, still quite confident at the moment and I have the biggest bet of the season so far on a match today with a couple plans to have more highligted selections over the weekend. So a bit more excitement today in what otherwise has been a rather straightforward grind it out season.

Kv Mechelen vs Zulte-Waregem

Mechelen in in the fight for a playoff 1 spot and did a great deal last week with a 0-2 win over La Louviere. They were helped though by an early red card for the opponents and only managed to create 0.65xg in the match. The week before they lost with a 2-3 score to Genk who came and played way too cautiously in a match where all the goals came out of nowhere. Mechelen is the team who have overperformed and based on the expected points ranking are near the bottom places. They have a history of missing out on Playoff 1 and I don't expect this to be different this time around as the pressure increases to perform. They are capable of putting up ok performances and have a good goalkeeper but unlike other seasons, this mainly happens on the road as they have a losing record at home against the asian handicap.Overall, I see them as a team that has overperformed and are bound to crack under the pressure of wanting to make it to playoff 1. Zulte-Waregem is on the complete opposite side as they actually have been putting some excellent performances on the pitch without getting rewarded for them. Last week, they lost by a 2-4 score against Anderlecht and I still have no clue how they managed to lose a match where they also had 2.76-1.68xg. The week before they could have beaten Stvv but were not helped by the ref. Overall, they are currently one of the better playing teams in the league with the only issue that they maybe take a bit too easily goals against. However, I see them as the better playing team out looking for revenge and to continue the good play against an overperforming team who aren't that great at home and might feel the playoff 1 pressure a bit too much. I see Zulte actually as the slight favorite today and was willing to take a full 1 unit on Zulte-Waregem +0.25 @ 1.953 along with 0.2 units on Zulte-Waregem +0 @ 2.440 and I need to hold myself back from betting more. I'm also leaning on the over, Zulte Team total over, & Zulte Corners Handicap.Zulte also went to 6 corners in each of their last 4 matches while Mechelen only won 1 of their last 4 corner matchups. Antwerp vs Sint-Truiden

Antwerp dropped back to 11th place after 3 losses in a row and the good streak they had merely was just a combination of temporary form and home support which both feel like they are gone now. last week they put up a good defensive performance against Union but still lost with a 2-1 score which was fair in the end even though they certainly could have taken a point. They will took to build on that performance and I again expect them to be pretty defensive today at home against Stvv. The visitors continue to show week after week that they are legit and generally underrated as they are deserved in 2nd place and have crushed their handicaps especially away at 9.5W-3L-0.5P against the Asian handicaps. They are also a team who don't panic when they fall behind and are the best at turning matches around if needed. So overall, they remain a team who I see not properly valued on the market and I continue to be willing to back them while Antwerp is a team I'm looking to oppose. I took a relativel cautious 0.275 units on Sint-Truiden +0 @ 1.780 along with 0.22 units on Sint-Truiden 1st Half +0 @ 1.800. In all last 5 of their matches, they managed to create at least 5 corners so something there is also an option. I want to see a bit more first though before taking extra bets which certainly are on the table.

Anderlecht vs OH Leuven

Anderlecht is a tricky team as they have enough quality if they are at their best to easily win their matches, while they also can have bad days were they just or weak, or bad days like last week where they somehow end up winning. That win also was very important for a possible playoff 1 spot where they are now 5 points clear of Genk.OHL has improved recently after being serious underperformers and a draw away against Club Brugge would not have been stolen. The week before, they took a deserved 3-2 win against Dender and they are depending on the matches played before them only a couple points away from getting out of the playdown spot they are in right now. I do expect Mazzu similar to the away match against AA Gent which they won with 1-3 to stay secure defensively not giving much away. My only real choice at the moment is to side with OHL as the +0.75 underdog or with OHL team total over as I can see them score today. However, I choose to just wait and see before potentially getting something in. No Pre-Game bets
