Antwerp vs AA Gent
Antwerp this season pretty much saw an exodus as many of their best players got sold. Doumbia was the last one and he needs to be replaced in the midfield. The style of their coach had been very defensive on the counter even at home against OHL. They crawl back when they take the lead and have a very hard time creating something when they are behind. So far this strategy worked for them as they are in a playoff 1 spot but overall they just haven't been good enough. Now with Doumbia gone who had a good distance shot I expect it to be more difficult for them. AA Gent has kind of gone in the opposite where they started pretty weak but they got some good transfers and picked up their form. With Kadri fit and Skoras as a new transfer I see them as a potentially underrated team that can be backed and trusted on putting in ok performances. Their coach Leko also has shown to be very capable.I did take an early 0.3 unit bet on
AA Gent +0.25 @ 1.956 as I do see it more even. I also don't expect a wide open start of the match and more of a tactical game where both want to avoid counters. I did go ahead and place 0.194 units on

1st Half Under 1.25 @ 1.750 with an eye to maybe reduce exposure. AA Gent won both their away corner matchups and only lost one of them this season against Brugge, Antwerp only won 1 corners matchup this season at home against OHL which made me also take 0.161 units on

Cercle Brugge vs Charleroi
Cercle Brugge started the season poorly with lack of offensive power. However, they improved along the way and started scoring with a 4-1 win against Westerlo and a 0-3 win over Standard both deserved. Against a defensive Stvv they got a deserved 1-1 Draw. Charleroi saw key players leave which were not fully replaced, they got eliminated in Europe early and they have been mediocre in the league sitting in 14th place now with just 5 points. Their last match was a 3-1 win over poor Dender and I don't see that win as a real turning point for them. I'm not quite sure what to expect from this match but I can see how Cercle Brugge is the -0.25 home favorite. I have a small itch for the under but I will stay away because cerlce hasn't had a single game yet where their expected xg was under 1.
No Pre-Game Bets
Anderlecht vs Genk
It's once again crisis in Anderlecht after they failed to qualify for the conference league. Dolberg on top also left which leaves them with Vasquez who only in ther premaration period showed good things. Aside from that it has been systematically bad and even Cercle Brugge refused to take him as he was offered there. They did get some needed enforcement in the defense but he will start on the bench most likely while revelation Angulo is suspended and Bertaccini is injured. Despite everything, Anderlecht did manage to take quite some points so far this season thank to an easy schedule and are in 5th place with 1 extra match to be played. At times they looked good with work ethic and pressing but they never really manage to bring this 90 minutes. I do expect a good motivated start from them in this match today but eventually should fall to their form which isn't top. Genk so far looked really good at times but nearly didn't take as many points as they should/could have. They crushed Brugge away in the 1st half, were unable to break the wall of Antwep as they were too patient for long, They got frustrated and lost against Standard despite 82% Posession. They improved and won 1-2 against OHL even though they could not keep their strong period going for 90 minutes. They also played good and won deserved against Zulte. Overall in this match, I just see Genk as the superior team and I would take them as the underdog any day of the week. I took 0.5 units on
Genk +0.25 @ 1.880 as a draw for Anderlecht pretty much be a win the fans can be happy about. I also took 0.3 units on
Genk +1 Corners @ 1.936 as I see it as an even match where both will try to go forward.
Stvv vs Westerlo
Stvv has a great start of the season thanks to a very easy schedule. This match today is the last one that will be easy as all the difficult teams now will follow. They did manage to get good confidence and mainly defensively showed to be capable at just 0.77xg against on average. I expect them to build upon this today. Westerlo has been a mixed bag. They got crushed against the presssing of Anderlecht were they made too many defensive mistakes, they took an ok 3-1 home win against Zulte, followed by a coinflip 0-1 loss against Mechelen, just to get trashed again away with a 4-1 score against Cercle showing they have difficulties with pressing. In week 6 at home they won 2-0 against Antwerp with a goal that came out of nowhere and a counter. They are a team who are capable to score but also are still too vulnerable on the counters. Cercle havs yet to win a corners matchup against a non-top team and lost their last 2 at home with 1-11 and 3-8 while Westerlo won their last 3 against non-top-teams with a combined 24-10 saldo. I took 0.25 units on
Westerlo +1 Corners @ 1.959 as the only pre-game bet in this match.
