This is a weekly overview of my personal sports betting/trading results on teams from the Belgian Jupiler League, documenting my journey toward long-term profit with some insights on my overall approach.

There was 1 final match in the playoffs on Thursday to decide who got the final European ticket and it was Charleroi who ran away with it. I did end up having a handful of bets on it. While they didn't end with a profit I still kind of stand behind them and believe it easily could have gone the other direction. That's often how it goes in betting but over a bigger sample size, the truth always shows itself.

This season it showed that I'm still profitable and I'm glad that I managed to end the season in the green thanks to great playoffs and a continues cautious disciplined appraoch without any form of chasing. It is getting harder and harder as it's clear that bookies year by year have better methods and data to set the lines as tight as possible with far less influence from public money. This makes it a challenge but also still fun and I'm already looking forward to next season.

Pre-Game Preview Bets Season 2024-2025

I also had one final highlighted pre-game bet in the preview which ended up in a nice winner but also could have pushed as I did partially reduce my exposure in-game. This makes these bet end with 4 winners limiting the damage from -9.244 units to just -5.883 units after 59 bets. With this low volume, variance is always going to play a big part.

With the last 4 seasons included, this now put these at 769 bets in total (all counted at a flat 1 unit stake) with +42.786 units of prifit and a soldid +5.56% ROI so I won't complain and I hope they pick up the pace again next season.

Season 2024-2025 Personal Betting Chart

I clearly ran hot during the playoffs which only partially made up for the poor regular season and in the end I'm happy to take it. If the chart looked reversed running really hot but ending with a cold streak and equal overall profit, I would feel much worse about it while the end result is the same.

I still plan to make post breaking down the crypto bet results of this season and I probably will do a deep dive in the past season with an eye to see where I need to improve and what to change for the next one which starts end of July.
