Sorare.com | No New Rewards & Another New Goalkeeper!

I got more serious about playing the Sorare.com NFT Fantasy Football Game this new football season and will be keeping track of my personal activity in this series of posts...

One of the main bottlenecks when playing Sorare is the Goalkeepers as those that tend to play each match are quite expensive since every team needs on and there are far less of them compared to defenders, midfielders and attackers. As I want to compete in multiple leagues, I went out of my way to buy another Goalkeeper that is actually playing. Right now I'm joining 3 leagues in the Under 23 for which I have the best team but still need a better striker, The Cap 240 which pays 5$ in ETH when reaching the threshold of 250 points and it also has card rewards, and the Europe Challenger League which fits well for the Belgian League players that I own.

Cap 240 League

This now has become one of my main league aiming to reach the 250 point Threshold (bonus Player XP doesn't count). The first tile I joined, it looked that I was going to easily cross the threshold but scores got adjusted and I still fell out in the end which is quite frustrating as a mechanic. the 88 for Mata however was too high of a score so I don't see it as unfair.

Under 23 League

One of the key factors of success in this league is your captain to have a good match and also for a striker to score which my team failed on in both ends last week. I'm strongly considering to buy a new striker as Gueye/Koita are more playes that have a chance to do well in a match but have no consistency whatsoever.

Europe Challenger

I should at least have a small hance agains to do ok now that I have a new goalkeeper that is almost sure to play. Ilic which used to be my main goalkeeper also made a transfer to Colorado Rapids and I hope he will be in the goal there this weekend so I can potentially sell him at a decent price or use him in other line-ups.

New Player Purchases

I continue to add more players and since the last update I got 7 more.

Koffi from Charleroi was the goalkeeper of my choice and it was purely a price/reliability choice. I also bought Watanabe from Kortrijk as a cheap high-scoring defender which I needed as I'm submitting 3 teams now. I added another Copy of Didden which is a youngster from Genk that I expect will be worth more later down the line. Same goes for Krasniqi and they are all plays where I will just need to be patient on. Since I was missing a midfielder in order to be able to submit a Cap 240 team I bought 'old' Refaelov kind of with an eye to possibly sell him again after he had his use but that so far is not really working out. I also bought 2 more Copies of Zeno Van Den Bosch who is a youngster that is expected to play for Antwerp this weekend as some of their main older defenders are suspended.

Conclusion

I continue to be at a slight overall loss (which might actually be profit compared to the general crypto market during the past year) but I'm having plenty of fun playing the game. At this pace of regulary getting some rewards it should also be a matter of time before I'm overall in a profit.
