So 2023 is over so it's time to take a look which of the Sports Betting Focused Projects did the best during the year at least in price performance.

If there one lesson that I continue to learn is that it's nearly impossible t predict what will do well and influencers shilling projects is a huge factor while fundamentals don't seem to be all too important. Rollbit unlike any other project had its year with doing 60x and now at a valuation that still feels cheap based on the revenue they claim to have and the token burn which is going at a rate where 20% of the supply will be burned over a year not even including an increase in activity in case we get in a crazy bull market. Blockchain bets (running only on ETH making it useless for me) & WINR (which only has 10% in circulation so prepare and only a promise of a sports book) both are heavily shilled coins which I'm not into but they both did well. Solcasino profited from the Solana hype and the devs changing the tokenomics which might still backfire over time as a lot of coins are pumped in circulation going toward NFT holders. Many others were slight gainers while the oldest project on the market Augur which once traded at 109$ now is trading at 0.84$ and lost 81% of its value last year. Wagerr which I still have some hopes on got into a limbo state with the chain stopped waiting for the v5 release which keeps getting delayed.

I do anticipate another pump at some point since there is a constant buy pressure while all coins are in circulation so at some point sellers at current prices will get exhausted. I have my bag filled and will be looking to start taking profit the moment the yearly burn gets below 12.5%.
The story continues to be exactly the same with v5 for some reason being pushed back. There are also no more markets available in the web sportsbook. It can still go both ways with things going fully to 0 in case the devs lied about v5 or if it is released and turns out in a complete failure. If however they release it at some point and it works, the coins should be in for some nice fireworks. It's the difficult thing in crypto as wanting the 50x coins usually means getting in at a very uncomfortable and uncertain point in time.
The betting also seems to be paused at the moment and the coming months will be crucial as they can't keep delaying things.
