Dak To Pit?

Cowboys owner ++Jerry Jones, by putting the "Blow It Up'' freeze on Dak Prescott contract talks - along with an NFL Network report that insists that Dak's side is fine with that++ - creates a look and feel of instability inside The Star. If Dallas isn't going to commit to Prescott long-term, and vice versa, why not divorce now? I think SI needs to chill out! LMK your thoughts on this!

To wit .. Rich Eisen said on his TV show that, hey, the Pittsburgh Steelers might not have a quarterback they feel confident in after this season, so why not go sign Prescott?

"What happens if they guy they went ahead and gave pole position doesn’t work out? What if they get a look at Justin Fields and say he’s not the guy," ++Eisen said++. "Maybe the Steelers are all in. Right now their offense costs nothing ... They’ll have the money to give Dak a multiple of that. I think the Steelers might be in on Dak and let him finish his career in Pittsburgh."

Eisen is referring to the fact that at this moment, Russell Wilson and Justin Fields are new to the roster with no future locked in (yet). Wilson is on a one-year deal; Fields is entering the final year of his rookie contract, with Pittsburgh needing to decide whether to pick up his fifth-year option.

And ... there is Prescott, entering the final year of his contract, coming off an MVP-runner-up season and boasting a 73-41 mark as a starter in the NFL.
