The Brasileirão, the Biggest National Competition, Begins: I Present my Favorite Teams for the Title
Hello friends, how are you?
The biggest national competition starts today, the Brasileirão for many like me is a championship with the greatest viability in Brazil. Many exciting matches will undoubtedly take place and Serie A is where the 20 elite clubs will face each other. The national football calendar is different from what happens in Europe. It lasts practically all year round and runs from the 13th of April and ends on the 8th of December. If there is nothing exceptional, this is the date that will define the champion.
In this article I will bring my favorites who can win the title and each year the highlights go to Palmeiras and Flamengo, but just like last year, Botafogo emerged as a big surprise and during the first round it became the great feeling from most fans of all clubs. But Botafogo's performance in the last rounds was not enough to guarantee first place.
The competition
The Brazilian Championship (Brasileirão) Série A is a straight points competition and all clubs compete against each other in two rounds totaling 38 rounds. The top 4 placed at the end of the competition have a direct place in the Copa Libertadores and 5th and 6th place receive a place in the pre-Libertadores, which is the most important continental competition in South America.
Favorite Teams for the Title
Palmeiras
Palmeiras is the first club on my list, as they were last year's great champion in the final stretch, managing to overcome Botafogo after the epic match when they won 4 x 3. This season, Palmeiras will be looking for the two-time championship and will defend his 2023 title.
In the fifth year in a row, Portuguese coach Abel Ferreira will lead his team that comes strong after winning the Paulistão, state title against Santos. In your squad you can still count on Endrick who will be available until the middle of the year, as he has been sold to Real Madrid and in 3 months he will play for the Spanish team. The name that could command Verdão will be Flaco López.
Flamengo
Flamengo, like all the last 5 years, is the favorite in any competition it competes in and after its tragic year of not winning any title last year, the red-black team is betting on coach Tite to be the commander who will take the Flamengo back on the path to trophies. Mengão won its first title of the year with Tite, Cariocão which is the state competition.
Flamengo had a slight reformulation in its squad and after what happened last year, the fans deserved an answer that this 2024 season should be different. With the arrival of Uruguayans De La Cruz and Matias Viña, as well as defender Léo Ortiz and recently with Carlinhos, the red-and-black team is very strong to win the Brasileirão.
Atlético Mineiro
Atlético Mineiro is confident after winning the state title for the fifth time in a row and after the departure of coach Felipão at the beginning of the year, now the Argentinean is in charge of the Minas Gerais club.
Gabriel Milito. This season will be special, as the club will have its new home during all games in the Brasileirão. Arena MRV was opened last year and this becomes another strong point of the Galo team.
The base of last year's squad was maintained with highlights for Hulk and Paulinho. The big signing for the season is undoubtedly midfielder Gustavo Scarpa . Striker Bernard will only be able to play in July when he will be released at the IDB. The strength of the squad that has been together for years will be decisive in winning the title.

These are my 3 chosen ones to win the Brazilian title, I know there are other teams that can surprise but I will leave that topic for another article. I also intend to bring the clubs that may be at risk of relegation as there are more than 4 favorites in this regard.
The first matches of Brasileirão are happening right now as I'm writing with the matches of São Paulo x Fortaleza at MorumBis in São Paulo and Fluminense against Red Bull Bragantino at Maracanã. The remaining games will be completed tomorrow on Sunday.

A maior competição nacional se inicia hoje, o Brasileirão para muitos assim como eu é um campeonato de maior viabilidade no Brasil. Muitas partidas emocionantes sem dúvidas irão acontecer e a Série A é onde os 20 clubes de elite se enfrentarão. O calendário do futebol nacional é diferente do que acontece na Europa, Dura praticamente o ano todo e vai desde o dia 13 de abril e terminará no dia 8 de dezembro. Caso não haja nada excepcional, essa é a data que definirá o campeão.
Neste artigo trarei os meus favoritos que podem conquistar o título e a cada ano os destaques vão para Palmeiras e Flamengo, mas assim como aconteceu no ano passado, o Botafogo surgiu como uma grande surpresa e durante o primeiro turno se tornou a grande sensação de boa parte dos torcedores de todos os clubes. Mas o desempenho do Botafogo nas últimas rodadas não foi o suficiente para garantir o primeiro lugar.
A Competição
O Campeonato brasileiro (Brasileirão) Série A, é uma competição de pontos corridos e todos os clubes disputam contra todos em dois turnos totalizando 38 rodadas. Os 4 primeiros colocados no fim da competição garagem vaga direta para a Copa Libertadores e o 5° e 6° lugar recebem a vaga da pré Libertadores que é a competição continental de maior expressão da América do Sul.
Equipes Favoritas ao Título
Palmeiras
O Palmeiras é o primeiro clube da minha lista, pois foi o grande campeão do ano passado na reta final, conseguindo superar o Botafogo após a partida épica quando venceu por 4 x 3. Nesta temporada, o Palmeiras irá em busca do bicampeonato e defenderá seu título de 2023.
No quinto ano seguido, O técnico português Abel Ferreira comandará sua equipe que vem forte após conquistar o Paulistão, título estadual diante do Santos. Em seu elenco ainda poderá contar com Endrick que estará disponível até o meio do ano, pois está vendido para o Real Madrid e em 3 meses ele se apresentará para o time espanhol. O nome que poderá comandar o Verdão será o Flaco López.
Flamengo
O Flamengo assim como todos os últimos 5 anos, é favorito em qualquer competição que disputa e após seu ano trágico em não conseguir nenhum título no ano passado, o rubro-negro aposta no técnico Tite para ser o comandante que levará o Flamengo de volta ao caminho dos troféus. O Mengão conquistou o seu primeiro título do ano com Tite, o Cariocão que é a competição estadual.
O Flamengo teve uma leve reformulação em seu elenco e depois do que aconteceu no ano passado, a torcida merecia uma resposta de que essa temporada de 2024 deveria ser diferente. Com as chegadas dos uruguaios De La Cruz e Matias Viña, mais também do zagueiro Léo Ortiz e recentemente com Carlinhos, a equipe rubro-negra vêm muito forte para conquistar o Brasileirão.
Atlético Mineiro
O Atlético Mineiro vem confiante após conquistar o título estadual pela quinta vez seguida e após a saída no início do ano do técnico Felipão, agora quem comanda o clube mineiro é o argentino
Gabriel Milito. Nesta temporada será especial, pois o clube terá sua nova casa durante todos os jogos no Brasileirão. A Arena MRV foi inaugurada no ano passado e isso se torna mais um ponto forte do time do Galo.
A base do elenco do ano passado se manteve com destaques para Hulk e Paulinho. A grande contratação para a temporada sem dúvidas é o meia Gustavo Scarpa. O atacante Bernard só poderá jogar em julho quando estará liberado no BID. O ponto forte do elenco que já vem de anos juntos será determinante para a conquista do título.
Concluindo
Esses são os meus 3 escolhidos para a conquista do títuo brasileiro, sei que existem outras equipes que podem surpreender mas deixarei esse assunto para outro artigo. Também pretendo trazer os clubes que podem correr o risco de rebaixamento pois existem mais de 4 favoritos nesse quesito.
As primeiras partidas do Brasileirão está acontecendo nesse exato momento em que estou escrevendo com a partidas de São Paulo x Fortaleza no MorumBis em São Paulo e Fluminense contra o Red Bull Bragantino no Maracanã. Os restantes dos jogos serão finalizados amanhã no domingo.
