I thought I would jump in to introduce everyone to the DigiByte community 🖤
One of my big focuses the past year has been learning more about and finding more crypto ecosystems that share the ideologies that make Hive such an awesome place to be and build. After crossing orbits with some of the anonymous, grassroots community that are the lifeblood of DigiByte, I had an awesome hour long conversation with their outreach team. After chatting up a storm and really resonating with what we want to see the cryptospace pivot to and flourish with, we decided it would be an awful lot of fun to introduce our two communities to each other formally. I made a friend, so now ALL OF YOU DID TOO.

So! You're Invited to a DigiHive (Hivibite?) X Space
We of course, will be inviting the DGB community to hop onto Hive socials live, will be running a simultaneous threadcast, and will be rolling out the ol' welcome wagon for any of the lovely new friends who decide to build out a web3 native forum in the new DigiByte community (please note the location of this post!) It's a great way for our own lovers of fast, secure, decentralized, open source freedom tools to get to know the $DGB coin better too- because all of us should be building robust toolsets and lifting up everyone who's making this space more than just the ruggiest shitcoin honeypot to ever exist. That's these guys, among others like our buds over at Dash and some more ecosystems like us who may join in down the road 👀

We'll be introducing both ecosystems, chatting about collabs, talking about trying out Hive and DigiByte wallets for everyone live, inviting dapps and builders from both ecosystems to chat, and then taking live questions if there are any! Getting to Know Them, Getting to Show Us
They'll be using their new Hive community to create a place for their own people (and you too, if you want) to share all sorts of stuff. DigiByters are notorious meme creators and emphatic tech document writers. They have incredible articles and informational text, and lots of really cool aspects to their chain that I know people here will love and likely have questions about. They have an incredible financial focused stack and are looking for ways to use more web3 native tools to build out and expand their reach and their gathering places, which we obviously are amazing at. Everyone's welcome to pop in and join their community- be nosy, be encouraging, be fun, and overshare away! You'll note that the @digibytecoin account is their official wallet here, and that it's the new sheriff in town when it comes to their fancy new posting community.

Right now there's no integration- it's a totally separate coin community doing cool stuff hopping over and trying out Hive social media. Integrations, cross building, logins and other things may be in the future, but both ecosystems are fully staffed by volunteers who just build things they love because it's great. We may have tools to offer them, and our peeps may love their PoW private, fast coin~ but they want a home base to have a forum, and a Hive based community is a great place to do that :) so here they are!

That's awesome Crims. DigyBite has quite a big comunity and they are almost same age as we are and are fighting for Decentralization, but DigyBite does have an owner 🙃
Overal, this is a good step forward and once DigyBite starts their community on Hive we should all jump in and welcome all their users. So, let us all know when it's time to help.
They are technically older, 2014! They do have a founder, but he was just the first guy to start up the code and the nodes, he doesn't actually have controlling stake or ownership of the codebase~ They know almost all of the same struggles as us: no premine or ICO, no controlling corporate or VC or company, no foundation codebase ownership, they don't pay for exchange listings, they don't use market makers, everything is open source and grassroots built and maintained by volunteer community..... spiritually and ideologically Hive and DigiByte users are bound by the cypherpunk spirit. It's a pretty cool thing. Hopefully we'll see more of their users hopping in and starting to have blogs or conversation forums here in c/DigiByte~

Excellent news that we keep reaching out and finding new collaborations out there. Digibyte has been around for a long time.
They have! They're a super passionate community and there's a lot of overlap in our ideologies. For that reason alone it's a great idea to try to learn from each other and support the overall mission 🫡

Sometimes as crazy as we feel, we forget that this whole space sprang from the same ideas, and there are tons of people living and loving the decentralized way. Bonus if we can help more of them find each other using our tech stack. I'm a sucker for bringing friends together 😅
I love this :) I know of another very old project with no ico or premine which I love the community of. I'll see if they're a good fit too? They're a proof of stake coin.
The more the merrier! I'd love to see a bunch of these communities be places where people writing tutorials or their experiences with mining or node running or polls on community engagement or direction... So many possibilities!
OG Digibyte Blogger here. This is really great news. I have millions of DigiByte on Atomic Wallet. Can I send them here now ? Or convert to Hive Power or HBD ?
Nothing fancy with either coin yet~ we're starting with exploring having OG chains using web3 native socials, but I have no doubt tomorrow we'll have a chat on the space about community ideas and to think about what sorts of things we can do between our stacks 😊

That is awesome, I love DGB and have held it for years now! Great job on creating a community here, I'm looking forward to see what comes of it. I've never been a developer but have big believer, that's why I hang onto my DGB!
Awesome! It will be cool to see a lot of the long term digifam get to know some of the long term Hivers here in the community. I wonder how much crossover there is already? Maybe a big introduce yourself thread is in the future~
