Mothership Accout Feeding Other Abusers In Sportstalk

This morning while waiting for the rugby I thought I would go and do some hunting on Sportstalk and look for abuse. I think by naming and shaming abuse it will make other users aware of what is going on around them. Just because they are a large account doesn't mean they are a good tribe member. In some cases it means they have flown under the radar and have managed to grow quickly. As a tribe we need to do our own housework and remove the rubbish before it gets too big.

What I am finding now is most of the abusers are supported by other abusers and these upvoting accounts need to be dealt with to stop the flow of rewards. Yesterday I was busy slapping @joshcaare and @dianargenti and they have posted again this morning doing the exact same thing. That is fine ,but the way to stop them is to group them and take down 4 or 5 at a time.

The main account supporting them is a user called @yohann who has around 2 million sports tokens. He is the main account adding value to the abuse/spam posts and needs to be blown up. He is still small fry and we need to turn his support off by removing all his rewards that he is dishing out. If he/she doesn't grow then the vote value will come down as more tokens are staked by other users and will slowly make them run dry. I have highlighted this to the replay room so the referees will hopefully see this.

I had a look at all the accounts @yohann is supporting and they are the following and all are doing exactly the same abuse. They are stealing nearly 400 000 Sports Tokens per week and this I find unacceptable.
@joshcaare 37 000 Tokens this week on posts (30 000 removed so far)
@dianargenti 75 000 Tokens this week on posts
@veltor 71 000 Tokens this week on posts
@juvyjabian 90 000 Tokens this week on posts

I am sick and tired of abusive/corrupt users that I am actually finding pleasure in smashing them up. I am calling on anyone else who wants to get rid of some of their downvotes and has no idea where to stick them then the 5 accounts listed here are a good place to start. We all need to come together to break these abusive circles up.

Hey sir,
What exactly the inflation rate in SPORTS is. The current supply is 100 million. What is the yearly inflation over it?

Do the first 15 mins voting have a different curation reward in Sports just like in Steem?

It is a little off-topic but please help me to know about it.

Regarding abusive behavior and subsequent downvoting, I think there has to be a broad-based consensus and awareness in the community so that the abuser don't take this lightly.

As far as I know the curation is the same as Steem now. I have no idea about the inflation. Regarding abusers not taking it lightly they will have no choice as the plan is they will have a big 0 when the rewards are paid out.

The content rewards are currently set to distribute 80 new SPORTS every Steem block. Combined with @sportspromo and the referee payments that means the yearly inflation is a little less than 1B tokens.

The penalty for first few minutes of voting ends at 5 minutes in #sporsttalk.

Thank you so much for this information @patrickulrich
Sir, don't you think you must put a blog detailing all these fundamentals so that it will become a resource for the Sportstalksocial community, as most of the people don't know about the inflation and reward pool details.

Sportstalk is relatively a new tribe to warrant all the abuse it's getting I hope this won't affect the fuctionalities of the tribe, thanks for taking the actions you're taking.

We all have to do this as it is showing we have had enough and prepared to fight for what we believe in.

Excellent write up @cryptoandcoffee. This is the exact thing we need to see from our whale class to step up and purge out the peers who are being abusive. I've been spending the morning downvoting some of these accounts and will be encouraging the Referee Team to look to do the same!

If Value of Sports Upvote is Reduced. Then is it Possible to Have Value Rise or?

In theory it should as it is harder to earn and less is going to the exchange. Over time it will increase in value as more users stake sports tokens.

Maybe someone could come up with an ai that detects this kinds of abuse, like the way @aicu detects good content.

I can see that it will be an uphill task for individuals to continually monitor these abusers as they can keep creating new accounts to continue abusing the system.

What kind of abuse are you guys talking about exactly? From what I understand from this post it's people farming rewards by creating low effort posts and upvoting them through tribe token whales?

The pattern itself is seemingly easy to detect, but the main issue with flagging bots like that is that there needs to be a human element to prevent false positives. As in: bot flags post in some way (resteem, upvote, comment, shares it into social media channel) and a community checks those posts and can decide on their own if it's an abuse or not. Auto downvote trails controlled by a bot are dangerous imo.

@cryptoandcoffee take a look at shit poster @america-dad and his voters who are headed by @bat-junior who is the ringleader of the group I pointed out a week or two back.

There are so many but will get onto them once this group has been sorted out permanently. Thanks @leedsunited if everyone gets busy then it can be fixed in no time. I know you have taken a lot on your own and will come and help.

Of course mate. Name names here or on discord and I'm all over them like a rash :-)
Meanwhile, I will have a little dabble with the ones from this post.
I would also mention that Nathen has the 4th highest stake of @dlike tokens so I will will give them a double whammy ;-)

I have also noticed them. I just wanna be honest here.

Those accounts mentioned above were the reason why I did the same. Not blaming though, but I just want to point out that I noticed their voting abuse behavior from the start.

If we root these guys out first then the platform will grow properly. Good job. These posts are great because i can click their links and just downvote.

Part of what I think is so sad is that the abusers either don't think they are doing anything wrong or the just don't care. I saw one comment today where the user claims they are a faithful and exceptional Steem user for two years so why are they being targeted. I looked at their account and they have less than 200 SP. That right there tells me everything I need to know if they have been on the platform for two years!
