OCD Sportstalk Incubation Curation Update

Hello and welcome to another sports tribe update regarding the OCD curation program. This is all about helping the tribe grow through the curation program generously supporting the @sportstalksocial tribe. This is all about numbers as those give us some sort of guide where we are. The stats justify the activity and knowing what we are all doing is working for the overall tribe growth.

if we look at the overall stats we added another 32 tribe members this week but in the same breath have dropped the number of active users along with the interactions. A bad week dropping over 40 percent in engagement and this is all on us as that is a controllable we can all influence.

This week 17 posts were submitted and could have been more but cannot use the same names day in and day out. There is a max of 3 posts per week and we have to stick to the guidelines. This is not me ignoring you and will always try and manage the curation so this is run fairly.

Frustratingly many users are eligible for the extra curation on the quality of the post but and it is a big but they don't engage so cannot even be put forward. I just don't get it as this is leaving rewards on the table each week.

Hive is a social blockchain so reading and commenting on other posts is a given if you would like to grow, If we had to dig deeper on who actually comments on other posts outside of their own blog I can assure you many would also be disqualified from extra curation. Many don't see this and expect others to come to them instead of going to others. I call those island accounts who just expect without helping themselves by being proactive.

I think now is a good time to expand the team so we can get fresh ideas flowing and maybe some different perspectives. In other words if you want to join and help with the curation please leave a comment and I will get back to you. Obviously you have to be active in the sports tribe to even be considered, plus have a clean track record.

As you can see from last weeks figures a 30 new user growth on Sports per week is not fantastic and within a few months could be overtaken by motherhood of all tribes. I have mentioned this before as Sports should be a top 3 tribe and not languishing down in 10th spot. I do understand that many tribes have more users subscribed but have less active users as a percentage so doesn't tell the full story. If you know some friends or other users looking to join another community steer them our way. If someone needs a small delegation to boost the Resource Credits to be active then also leave a comment. If you are earning Hive and powering down selling Hive not growing then obviously you wouldn't qualify for delegation either. The last time we had 2 or 3 users in that position asking and that is not happening. You have to help yourself in order to receive help.

The post topics of #legends and #sportingdisaster are still live and hoping to add another one next week. Ideas everyone as my brain seems cooked and we are only in February.
