OCD Sportstalk Incubation Curation Update

Hello and welcome to another update for the Sportstalk OCD Curation Project where the power of support via the OCD community delegated voting power. Over the last 15 months we have seen growth every week with the Sports and Hive community benefitting immensely. The stats tell a story so lets have a look at how the sporting tribe faired over the last 7 days.

Any growth is good growth as it means the sports community is still growing which we are up with another 26 new users being added this week. Yes we are still ahead of the Motherhood tribe and retain 10th spot, but the margins are getting tighter as we are now only 78 ahead.

On a positive note the active users count is by nearly 30% and interactions are up by nearly 50%. This is more like the numbers we need and should see every week as who isn't attracted to a busy community?

20 posts received extra curation this week and had to reject quite a few due to lack of engagement. This is why engaging with others is that important as OCD will support active users in the community and is a prerequisite for their vote. The delegated Hive Power they hold is from members of the Hive community so this has to be used on members who are offering something in return by being decent active community members.

One comment per day is not active and cannot justify extra rewards for that type of behavior. Standards have to be maintained as protecting the OCD support for those that deserve it is paramount.

My wish is to be able to reward as many users as possible but the buck stops with you with the effort and originality of the post. Many of you wonder why you miss out and it is down to lack of engagement, effort, personal input regarding own thoughts and the originality of the topic. You will be shocked how many read a news article and use the same topic for their post with no personal input. I have mentioned before I read the sports pages daily with a coffee to catch up and seeing the same news item on here is not only lazy but also frustrating. There is so much to write on so create your own niche making you stand out from the rest.

@talesfrmthecrypt, @wolfgangsport and @jobiker are just a few that stand out week after week with their offerings. Originality and personal input is the key to their posts which makes it more interesting to read.

This is the main reason why setting topics can really help as it guarantees originality and actually makes things easier for so many. We have already done #sportinglegends, #sportinginjuries, #legends and the #bucketlist and most likely a few others I cannot recall. This month I would like to add sporting #controversy where certain sports are not doing things correctly. This is a wide topic which could include transgender, advertising a sponsorship or maybe health risks to name a few. If you are a new member of the tribe then all of the above topics are live and may assist you in staying active.

If there are any new members who need more Resource Credits to comment and post beep me on discord or drop a comment and we will fix this immediately. All that is asked is you power up your earnings so you can become stronger that much quicker standing on your own two feet.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank @ocd for their continued support as it is really appreciated. The growth generated through their support by the tribe and individuals cannot be thanked enough. If you have any spare Hive you would like to delegate please consider @ocdb as you are not only helping the community, but you also receive a daily reward in the form of a Hive payment.

Until next Saturday stay busy and have a great week.

Thanks for the kudos. I know my engagement is not as good as it can be but I will endeavour to improve that!

It's always good to see the growth of the community and we also have you to thank for that. Good to see the active counts too since people now understand that it's not only their post's comments that matter but engaging others.

I am happy to see more users join and engagement getting better. I know that top spot is not hard if we all do better as you have stated. A comment a day isn't engagement. We all can do better.

Much more than the quality posts coming into the community, I must take this time to appreciate you (@cryptoandcoffee) you've really done so well with the help of @ocd to make this community more conducive for us all. Thank you.

Good to see the tribe growing and great to see @talesfrmthecrypt, @wolfgangsport and @jobiker called out as, I would have to agree. They all produce excellent content themselves which I look forward to reading, but also make the effort to read others posts and engage with them. Onwards and upwards for the tribe. Next stop 3500 subscribers.
