OCD Sportstalk Incubation Curation Update

Hello and welcome to everyone and if this is your first read of an OCD Curation update this is all about the growth figures. The aim is to build the sportstalk tribe numbers via curating and support on the posts. We have been doing this for 18 months now and has proved very successful.

Any growth is good growth and we have increased our tribe numbers by another 28 subscribers over the last 7 days. Active users are up along with interactions or engagements which is at a healthy 1590 tonight. I think this is the highest we have seen and this will only attract new users to join. A healthy tribe is a growing tribe and we are definitely growing.

So far we have had 18 posts submitted this week with one being rejected for recycling. If you are going to recycle old posts at least rewrite and change things up as that is not acceptable and will be spotted.

Getty Images are constantly a problem for many users who don't check correctly and really wished you did as I consume hours every night double checking. Getty own the rights to roughly 99.9% of football photography and these images are protected unless you, buy the rights and no one here earns enough to make that viable.

The curation numbers are down even though we have had plenty of posts through the sports tribe feed. The problem is they are all on the same topic and this is not a great sign for our trending page. The Real Madrid vs Manchester City game dominated the feed and I selected only 1 for extra curation as original material also includes topics. I think we had 15 or more Real Madrid posts all saying the same thing.

This is the danger if you have nothing else to write on and are limited as this is the easiest topic to post and there are obviously plenty of you thinking the same thing. Be original and think outside the box like many others do as what are you going to write on when the season is finally over?

I need to push for an extra curator to join me as I believe so much more can be done to help grow the community. I honestly don't have enough hours in the day to do this justice and sometimes posts do slip through. If you have a spare hour or two please I would appreciate someone coming forward and will help and guide you in the role. This will help you grow on Hive and sportstalk as I have benefitted immensely over the last 18 months.

I see no reason why we cannot top 4000 subscribers by the end of the year with over 2000 interactions weekly. When HIVE rises in price expect a massive influx of new users across all the tribes so this is something that could happen and need to be prepared for.

Another great week in general and if you are new and need Resource Credits to function properly leave a comment or contact me via discord. We all know how hard it is to get going in the beginning so this will definitely help speed your growth.

Lastly I would like to thank OCD for their continued support as it is greatly appreciated. Their vote no doubt makes a difference and encourages you to improve and do more. If you have some spare HIVE POWER and would like to delegate to a curation project then please consider @ocdb.

It is great to see this tribe grow, since I joined this community I have received nothing but support from all the older users and I think it is also a key point for new users to keep joining, it is a great job of all who remain active in this community, which will continue to grow a lot! Greetings!!

Wow!

So people truly recycle sport posts? How does the post even stay relevant?

Well, it's a good thing to know that community is growing by the week, I also noticed the fact that majority of we authors tend to have interest in writing about the biggest match at all times, maybe it's normal or maybe it's just the easy way out, I personally would definitely see to that from my end.

For you needing here, firstly, I would like you say thank you to you because you're the only reason why I ended up being this active in this community. If there is or are anyways I could you to make things work so fine around here, I'll be glad to try my best. 😎

Hahaha this is why I try to change my titles and talk less more on how the game went. I noticed most people talk about game actions and that's why I've stopped about game actions. I know we would all grow together when we understand that we need to do things differently and bring in more quality.

Thank you for all that you do and that extra hand for curation would come in handy. I believe 4,000 is achievable.

Think outside the box. I like that. There are so many things to touch in the world of football other than weekend actions. That's what makes our tribe special; being able to do something different.
