RE: The New Era

I will try and find a feed tomorrow as my magical tv box app is faulty and is being replaced. Yes the competition is far less and as long as you make the qualification times you are eligible if there are no other athletes better than you from your country or are even bothered in entering. From what I have seen or heard so far is this is just way too political for me to enjoy.
Commentary on live tv coverage is important to get the right person and there are plenty of bad ones around. In the UK they are having a woman on the rugby commentary team who has such a deep voice you wonder if it is fake or how may steroids she has been having over her playing career. Locally we have a black commentator who is not great and is trying to sound too English when he obviously is not and it makes for a terrible experience. Why people are chosen for roles they clearly cannot do is madness. I need to have a radio broadcast or a back up plan for certain matches. The DEI is just too much and is very hard to avoid.

I hope you can make your streaming work as the Olympics won't last forever.

This is true for some countries, but with countries like Norway, where there are so many good athletes, this is a big problem. The commentator said there are international competitions, where participation per country is not limited and Nordic countries sometimes have 10 athletes on the first 10 places. Obviously this is an exception, as not many countries are good enough to grow so many good athletes.

Holy heaven, then you're in an even worse situation, if non English speakers are commenting the event and they are not good at it either.
