Terrible really and no different from football where players fake injuries so other players are carded. This instance is bad though as you should know the rules and he obviously did as you can seriously injure some one.

yeah, I understand why the rule exists but in combat sports the whole idea is to actually hurt the other person. Why is it that certain kicks towards a downed opponent are allowed in virtually every other MMA promotion?
I don't know the rules, but thinking about it when you are fighting on the floor in MMA you try and pin their arms so you can get a clean shot in. I can understand the logic behind not allowing to hit someone when they are down, but this is fighting and safety and fighting are two opposites.
