¡Have a good start of the week dear reader!

Don't give your opinion on subjects you don't know
Your silence can speak louder than an empty opinion
¿Have you ever heard someone speak with total confidence about something they clearly don't understand? ¿And you, have you ever felt tempted to give your opinion just because you wanted to participate, even though you had no real knowledge of the subject?
The phrase “Don't give your opinion on subjects you don't know anything about” is more than a suggestion: it is a golden rule that can save you embarrassment, misunderstandings... and loss of credibility. We live in a world where everyone wants to have the last word, but very few stop to think if they really have something valuable to contribute.
Speaking out without knowing not only reveals ignorance, but can damage relationships, misinform others and leave you looking bad in front of people who do know what they are talking about. ¿Is it worth it?
Learning to listen more and speak less when we do not master a topic is a sign of emotional intelligence, respect and maturity. This rule applies to everyone: leaders, employees, parents, young people... No one is exempt from being more humble and responsible with their words.
And if you don't know this rule, this is the perfect time to integrate it into your life. Because when you recognize that you don't know something, you give yourself the opportunity to learn. And when you learn, your future opinions will have weight, value and respect.
¡Thanks for following us this far! In previous articles we have reflected on the importance of greeting well, taking care of your physical presence, speaking properly... and now, we add this jewel: keeping silent when knowledge does not accompany you.
¿Do you dare to practice this rule? ¿How many times have you spoken out of impulse or just to keep quiet? ¿What did you learn from those experiences?
Remember: Your silence can say more than a thousand wrong words.
Learn, observe, investigate... and when you speak, let your words enlighten, not confuse.
NOTE: This is what the images used in this post represent:
A woman is trying to talk about a complex subject that she clearly doesn't understand. She is in the middle of other people having a conversation. She is wearing a formal blouse, her eyebrows are furrowed and her mouth is ajar, as if she has been caught in mid-sentence.

¡Blessings to all and let's stay active!
