Durante dos días, el 24 y 25 de Octubre, fuimos testigos de un evento que sin duda marcará la historia tecnológica y financiera del país: Bolivia Blockchain Week 2025. Realizado en el Hotel Marriott de Santa Cruz de la Sierra, este encuentro reunió a más de 1.000 asistentes y a más de 50 speakers nacionales e internacionales, consolidando a la ciudad como el nuevo hub cripto y tecnológico de Latinoamérica.

Nosotros estuvimos presentes el Sábado 25, desde las 7 de la mañana hasta las 6 de la tarde, en una jornada intensa de conferencias, networking y aprendizaje. Cada ponencia dejó una semilla de conocimiento que, sin duda, crecerá en quienes comprendemos que la tecnología blockchain no es el futuro: es el presente.

El evento llegó en un momento crítico para el país. Desde hace meses, la escasez del dólar en Bolivia ha generado incertidumbre y desconfianza en el sistema financiero tradicional. Los bancos han limitado el acceso a divisas porque no lo tienen,y en cuanto a las tarifas por cantidad que se llegue a mover cobran comisiones elevadas y ni para ahorrar a plazo ya que ofrecen tasas de interés del 3% al 4% anual, que resultan irrisorias o ridículas comparadas con los rendimientos que muchos traders logran en minutos. Y lo decimos tal cual así porque nosotros mismo lo hemos hecho. Somos más rentables los Traders que los propios bancos.

Esta situación ha empujado a miles de personas a buscar alternativas fuera del sistema bancario, y ahí es donde la blockchain entra en escena.
