My Handball Career 2024/2025 #22: Resume
Last week, I had my first experience in a European Masters tournament.
Unfortunately, we were unable to retain the title because we lost in the final by 1 to a French team that had 2 three-time world champions for France.
However, we fought until the end and suffered a very difficult defeat.
They had to play at their best to be able to beat us.
One of the things I can't understand is how a competition like this, organised in conjunction with the EHF, can be held in Seville in absurdly high temperatures (we even had games where the temperatures inside the arena were 47º), which made it extremely difficult to play the sport.
In fact, in the women's +33 final, which was held before ours, two athletes became ill due to breathing difficulties due to the physical effort and the high temperature.
I think the location of this championship should be reconsidered and, if it is held in locations with a history of hot weather, they should ensure that the arenas have some kind of cooling system that allows the temperature inside the arena to be controlled.
