RE: Revamp sportstalksocial or build a better option from the ground up?

I proposed changes to try to fix what we currently have only because to not leave the community behind even knowing that would be a huge challenge to try to get the community on track.
But now I know most community member don't care about the community.

Having a great site design with insane UX/UI with a right plan and a team to manage it, a web3 community can fly very high.

I think the most difficult part is to find a good frontend dev available to jump into the project.

That would be a big stumbling block as I know nothing about web design or website development. They are also in huge demand at the moment.

I do know what I would like to build and how it would work in theory but there is a huge gap from theory to reality.

It would be more of a stand alone sports website built onto hive for web3 capabilities rather than another hive community. A lot like what LEO have done in terms of creating their own project and brand which is built onto hive but working as a stand alone project.

The goal would be to onboard large numbers onto the website itself rather than trying to teach them about hive. Instead it should just be another sports website with a crypto wallet attached to it as the only real difference from the web2 experience.

It would need to have lite hive accounts and proper analytics to rewards writers based on traffic rather than voting weight. Focus on engagement and fun rather than blogs.

The active community would find it's way over very fast and there is huge room for growth from the non hive public.

It would probably take multiple devs and a core management team to build the site as well as a strong source of funds.

Then you would need a team of volunteers to moderate each sub section and work on creating quality content.

It would obviously have to be built in stages rather than launching a completed product but that is where planning and management come into play.

Your idea it is more a sports new site than a community.

The team will have fixed wirters and editors to pusblish and review the website content and the earnings will be from publicity taking in consideration the traffic for each news?

It is a different use of hive but n interesting idea.

I dont know if it will be easy to find writers that will be paid only by the publicity earnings.

The wallet integration it is only necessary to post the content since the upvote will not exist.

The news will have a comments section?

Not quite. More 50/50. A community based sports site.

The big focus on the front page would be 50% micro content and 50% moderated long form content. The same for each section.

On the inside of the site each person would still have their own blog, profile and wallet residing on the hive blockchain.

All content could still be eligible for hive upvotes but whatever secondary token is linked to the site would be distributed based on traffic rather than POS. Encourage better content, sharing on other social media, driving up revenue for the whole eco-system. Community driven content and engagement would still be the main focus.

Something along these lines with moderators for each section of the site on a voluntary basis with the core team to review the best content and propagate the landing page for each sport. All content would be published to hive just like other communities. All comments to hive, all micro content to hive. The main difference to existing communities is that the stake wouldn't determine the featured posts and the sites token wouldn't be rewarded through voting. It would need a lot of though on the best system to achieve this but that is where theory meets reality.

How to make it work best and how to actually make it happen.

Then revenue would be split between the core team/operating costs and content creators adding value to the site itself.
