Titans sign star defensive end/outside linebacker Jadeveon Clowney!!!

Wow, I cannot begin to explain how excited I am today, now that the signing is official.

Today, one of the best defensive ends in football, Jadeveon Clowney, officially signed with the Titans.

This was a very suspenseful and mysterious situation regarding where exactly Jadeveon was going to end up. The Seahawks, Saints, and Titans were apparently in the running for awhile, but Jadeveon was wanting some pretty serious money, allegedly. The Titans signed him for one year, $12 million dollars. With a max value of $15 million with incentives. Not that insane in my opinion.

A part of me knew the Titans had a strong chance from when a few months ago Madden 21 released a teaser of their game with Clowney featured in a Titans uniform LOL.

It feels so great that the Titans got a truly elite talent in free agency! It feels like the Titans got another Jevon Kearse!

As a Titans fan, I had to watch Jadeveon twice a year for a couple years when he was a Texan. I know exactly just how disruptive Jadeveon Clowney can be. This man is a problem. This man can ruin games.

Man, I am PUMPED!! Of course I just really hope that this can lead to real wins but, I am still hype! The Titans accomplished a lot without one of the best defensive ends in football, this can only make the team better in my opinion!

Wow, I just can't wait for this season to begin!! With Mahomes and a lot of other athletic quarterbacks on the come up in this league, getting pressure is sooooo crucial. I realize he doesn't have insane jaw-dropping sack numbers but the pressure he creates and double teams he gets helps create a lot of opportunity for others. Not to mention Clowney is a SAVAGE in stopping the run.

I believe the Titans were already steadily improving as a defensive line and now THIS!

The Titans already have a bunch of high quality talent. I already think that second year defensive tackle Jeffery Simmons is seriously on the rise and set up to have a massive season, and now with Jadeveon Clowney to join him on the line, the Titans defensive line is looking SACRY!!

This signing really makes the entire defense better. This defense was already really good, this could domino effect beautifully for the entire squad!!

Here is what just the Titans defensive line looks like now after the Titans signed Clowney:

• Defensive Tackles: DaQuan Jones, Jeffery Simmons, Jack Crawford, Larrell Murchison, Isaiah Mack
• Defensive Ends/Outside Linebackers: Jadeveon Clowney, Vic Beasley, Harold Landry III, Kamalei Correa, Derick Roberson

Unless you are a Titans fan, you might not know all of those names, but I'm sure you know a lot of them and if not you can do your own research. This is a beefy and formidable defensive front!

Much of Clowney's best success in his career came when he was coached by Mike Vrabel, who is the current head coach of the Titans. Vrabel also plans on being the defensive coordinator of the team. The Clowney-Vrabel relationship is big!

I don't know what else to say, except that I AM PUMPED to watch some Titans football. I know it's just on paper, but until they hit the field this excitement is all I got! I sooooo hope it leads to on the field dominance, I believe it will!

The only minor not so great aspect of this signing is the fact that the Titans only signed him for one season. I wish he was locked down for longer but it is a business and I'm grateful the Titans have him in two-tone blue in 2020!!
