Wemby is finally in the NBA 🏀🇫🇷➡️🇺🇸🏀

Pretty much any fan of basketball has probably heard of Victor Wembanyama by now. This kid is the most hyped NBA prospect since Zion Williamson and LeBron James. He may not be as explosive as either of those two guys, but Wemby certainly boasts a unique figure with a powerful skill set.

Wemby is 7'3.5" without shoes on. His wingspan is a massive 8 feet. The only downside to this is his weight, which is currently around 230 lbs. He's extremely mobile and skilled with the ball, but some are worried he may not be durable enough to last in the NBA for long. I have a feeling he will be getting a lot of protection from the refs and heads of the NBA. Still, there is no stopping a freak accident. The main goal for Wemby this summer I think should be to bulk up and initiate his Giannis-like transformation from boy to man.

In today's video, I'll be discussing what I think about Wemby so far from what we've seen. He's played in France for the Metropolitans and we were lucky enough to see him play in two summer league games for the NBA recently. I will prophesize what kind of player he may evolve into developing in the San Antonio Spurs organization. Much like David Robinson and Tim Duncan, the only other #1 picks that the Spurs have ever had. We know how great both of those players grew to be. I'm willing to bet that Wemby turns out to be a great player in the next few years.

Comment below with anything you think should be discussed about Wemby. Whether or not I talked about it in the video, I'll be happy to comment on any and everything NBA-related.

He had injury problems last year.

He didn't have any season-ending injuries. I think increasing his durability should be the number one objective this offseason.

If not next season, then surely in year 3 or 4 he will be dominating. Spurs know how to develop a big man.

Victor Wembanyama is definitely one of the most exciting prospects to come along in recent years. He has all the physical tools to be a dominant force in the NBA, and he's already shown flashes of his potential in his limited playing time.

I agree with you that he needs to bulk up a bit in order to be able to withstand the rigors of the NBA game. However, I think he has the potential to be a Giannis-like player, who is both incredibly skilled and physically dominant.

I'm fairly confident that he will become one of the best players in the league, but anyone who thinks that's going to happen during his rookie year is crazy.

Giannis came into the league skinny as fuck. Now look at him, one of the most muscular guys in the entire league. Anything is possible when you have unlimited money, great trainers, and of course, put your mind to it.

Well, I'm not a fanatic of this game but I have heard a lot about him and I heard that he's a very great player

It's impossible to not hear about this kid. He is such a unique person, almost like he was constructed in a lab or from another planet.

I’d personally hate to have that body, I feel like he has a lot of pain that normal sized people do not. If not now, he will for sure when he’s old.

Wow, the exciting part is that he's only 19.

I'm sure he'll be bulking up sooner than later. That's how he can survive in the wild NBA world.

I sure don't watch a lot of NBA matches nor have much knowledge about them but your videos sure make them more easy to understand.

The future looks promising for him. Hopefully, he’s fit enough to escape injuries and be able to play at his peak in every game.

They’re going to be shoveling this boy all of the food that they can.
I have always liked NBA the most of any sport, but really got into it again last season and will continue to pay close attention I’m sure.

Sin duda es el jugador más alto de la NBA, si mis cálculos no me fallan es francés y uno de los mejores como tú estás diciendo tiene un gran desempeño.

Some meat on this boy and he's going to be an absolute beast! I suppose its the fact he's at the Spurs but he gives me Tim Duncan vibes. For those San Antonio fans, you guys are absolutely blessed!!!

If he evolves into a Tim Duncan/David Robinson hybrid, the rest of the league is in major trouble.

Despite all the hype and all, I'm yet to really see this guy play so I'll be reserving my comments for now. However, Popovich signing an extra five year deal with Spurs despite his age shows the legendary manager believes this boy can turn it all around for Spurs. I'll keep a close eye on Wemby when the regular season starts.

They've locked him away for the rest of the summer, so by the time the regular season starts he may be an entirely different player. I know Pop is in it for the long haul, let's hope that he and Wemby can both stay healthy and bring the Spurs back to their former glory.
