eFootball 2022 (PS5) - First Impressions
You get what you pay for
I went into this game thinking that it was going to be absolute shit. All I had to go by were my past experiences with Konami's older Pro Evolution Soccer games, the fact that eFootball 2022 is now free to play, and these awful comparisons with FIFA 22.
It wasn’t looking good for eFootball, the internet has been trashing this game. Another reason the game hasn't been receiving much love is the fact that it launched with very little content. The developers are looking to slowly release content in the near future. I suppose they just wanted to get the game out in time to compete with FIFA 22. Here is a look at the roadmap.
Point blank, there is no competing with FIFA 22. The only thing that will draw people into eFootball over FIFA is the fact that the game is free and the next-gen version of FIFA costs $70. That's a giant gap in price difference. eFootball is the poor (or cheap) man's soccer game.
The thing is, eFootball is not nearly as bad as people have been saying. The lack of content is undeniable, sure. The presentation/animation issues are easily overlooked though. When I play a soccer game, I am skipping most of the cutscenes and intros in favor of the actual gameplay. Luckily just playing the game is pretty damn fun. If you like soccer, then eFootball is worth checking out.

Wow, this is my favorite game from the past, messi is my mainstay, I think you don't like playing soccer games, I often see you playing fighting and reinforcement games. 😃
You have always preferred PES in favor of FIFA?
I have a Messi Argentina jersey, it's one of my favorites.
I actually have always loved soccer games. I've played as far back as FIFA 98 on N64. It’s just been a few years since I purchased a soccer game, I believe my last one was either 16 or 17. My most memorable moments with the games were back in college with my buddies. Couch coop is the best for this type of sports game.
i would stay with the old PES versions. I always prefered PES over FIFA. PES have a much more fluid game, much faster. But looks like its geting closer to FIFA style now. still, no doubt an awesome option for those who like soccer games. nice one

I didn’t play eFootball 2021 and haven’t played Pro Evolution Soccer for well over 5 years. So it’s all new to me… and FREE!
I was always more fans of PES than of FIFA, it seemed to me that the movements of the players were more real, and I'm telling you that I play it from Playstation one, with Winning Eleven. But over time when career mode appeared with Alex Hunter, I bought the fifa from 1 7 to 20, because it was something super innovative and fun
See I felt the exact opposite. Maybe I was just used to FIFA and unable to adapt to PES. I forgot about Winning Eleven. The career mode in FIFA looks so cool this year. I actually want to play it unlike all of the create a character modes in other sports games.
Indeed, it is a matter of habit, but I mean that FIFA in its beginnings everything was a little more exaggerated, and little by little it got closer to realism, that's why I started playing it since 2016
I can’t wait to catch FIFA 22 on sale soon. I’ll buy it as soon as it’s only $30.
I have to buy the disc, here it costs $60, because can buy it in digital, I'm out of space
