Will Messi, Neymar, or Ronaldo finally win their first World Cup this year?

As if my hype for this year's World Cup wasn't already big enough, it just shot up even more when I received my new Brazil and Argentina jerseys in the mail yesterday.
The World Cup only happens every 4 years and it is by far the most exciting sporting event for me and many others across the world in 2022.
This one is shaping up to be one of the most exciting in years. Some of the most world-renowned players will very likely be playing their last World Cup. My three favorite players are potentially in that group.
I'm of course talking about Cristiano Ronaldo (37 y/o), Lionel Messi (35 y/o), and Neymar da Silva Santos Júnior (30 y/o). Neymar could very likely be in the next World Cup, but the other two almost certainly will not since they will be close to 40. If Brazil manages to win the 2022 World Cup, then I feel like Neymar would feel less need to join the squad in 2026.
There is the potential that Brazil/Portugal/Argentina could meet in the finals. This would be the ideal situation for me, although it would be tremendously hard to decide which team I'd want to win.
All three of these players are yet to win a World Cup. Brazil has 5 World Cups, Argentina 2, and Portugal has never won.
Many stat comparisons between Ronaldo and Messi have them looking equally as great. However, if only one of them has a World Cup under their belt, then I believe for many that would signify which one has a greater legacy.
I could go on and on about how hyped I am for all of this to begin on Sunday, November 20, and end on
Sunday, December 18. About a month of intense matches and surely many surprises.
I really cannot wait, despite the fact that most of the games will be played while I am sleeping here in the USA. It's tough when the games are being held on the completely opposite side of the world. I will still manage to watch some and 100% will be keeping up with all of the highlights and stats.

I said that my favorite is Messi, and I hope Argentina can win it this year because the world owes Messi a World Cup. I hope I will have the chance to follow the matches. I definitely would not be mad if Messi and Argentina came out as this year's champions. I'd be that much more proud to wear his jersey around everywhere.
Brazil and Argentina are always just so exciting. Their style is much more enjoyable than somebody like England or Germany, which are both really cool teams too of course.
If I had to choose one, probably Brazil. They’ve always been my favorite since I first played FIFA 98. Those jerseys, the cool players, and their success in the past. All of it just makes it so hard to not love them.
I am also a fan of Brazil, especially Ronaldinho and the phenomenon Ronaldo. But I really want Messi to win this time. If Argentina wins, I promise to give away 10 Hive in one of your posts 😂😂.
Ronaldhino was seriously so cool. Such a fantastic baller, always smiling, and loved to party too. Just seems like somebody that would be fun as hell to hang out with, let alone be on the pitch with.
Even with that offer… I still would rather Brazil win 😜 but I’ll be happy with any team winning because I don’t consider myself a super-fan.
I hope the team that plays the best wins. Inside I'm screaming for Argentina 😂.
If Ronaldo wanted to, I think he could play in two or three more world cups. Because he works hard and has more than enough capacity. Unfortunately, I cannot think the same for Neymar. I am very curious about how the process will work 😅
I don't have any doubts about that, but I really don't think he will push himself to do so. Especially if Portugal somehow manages to win their first World Cup this year. Then Ronaldo would have no reason to come back for another World Cup appearance.
It would be a shame if Neymar quits playing for Brazil by the time 2026 is here, but then again he started at such a young age and maybe he's ready to let other young talent fill his role and rise to stardom.
Absolutely I agree. Neymar's ability to influence younger generations is very high. I hope they are positively affected.
For me, Brazil is a strong team, with excellent players, for any place with more choices. I think Neymar has more opportunities with multiple world cup.
It is no wonder that they are currently ranked as the #1 team by many as of right now. That certainly doesn't mean they are guaranteed to win it all, but I'd say they have a really good chance compared to most squads.
I don't think it's the last chance for all players, but if any of them wins the World Cup, does he deserve the title of the best OR GOAT in your opinion?
I really hope they all decide to play again, but the older they get the more likely it is that they will retire.
At least in terms of the last 15 or so years, yes I'd say if Messi or Ronaldo get the World Cup this year they should be recognized as the best. Hard to ever say GOAT though since I wasn't alive to see so many great players on the pitch throughout the history of the sport.
I think Neymar has a bit more to prove still since he is several years younger than him, but he is already one of the greats in my book.
I would really want Messi to win this year's world cup but to be sincere the country that would win trophy will be a surprise to everyone.
I’d be happy with Messi holding the cup at the end. It truly is almost unpredictable to say who will become the champions.
Well,most probably this would be the last world cup Messi would try an attempt to play,even he would play the next tournament, he wouldn’t be in the shape he is now.
What is my core assessment is the fact that,the team which has been experimented under Scaloni is much stronger position than the other squads played nearly as a decades time.
For Ronaldo I think, Portugal is not strong a team to support him chase down the trophy,but hope so that he continues and tries the luck.

You are a long-time fan of the World Cup, I can tell. It does seem that Argentina is poised to be the strongest they’ve been in years. Brazil and Argentina both are loaded with firepower.
Sadly, Portugal just doesn’t have that same amount of talent on their squad. I wouldn’t say it’s impossible for them to win, but it is quite a bit unlikely.
hmm. Sounds to reasonable mate. But I have casted eyes on the Portuguese Euro winning journey and how they did well to win the continental trophy, with a team that has just a petty experience of playing in national side.
Portugal would be in the spotlight and thats for sure, real fans would be fond of watching two of the greats battling out in the greatest football stage.

It's always exciting to watch Ronaldo, no matter if he wins or loses.
It will surely be the last chance of the 3 to win a World Cup, although there are good teams and at an even level, I hope that the final will be Brazil vs. Argentina
If that ends up being the final, it very well may be the most watched World Cup EVER! And whoever loses that game better run for cover.

I really hope for Messi, but out of these three Ronaldo ahs probably the most talanted team in my opinion. I would be happy if Ronaldo or Messi win it as it would just crown their careers.
You really think so? I mean I definitely love to use Portugal in FIFA 22 all the time (and I usually win), but I think Argentina and Brazil both have a much deeper roster in real life.
This World Cup will be very difficult, there are many teams that have the opportunity to lift it

I would love to see one of them winning a world cup. But I also want to see Oranje winning while Louis van Gaal is at the helm (I am a fan). I can still remember the day when Oranje lost to La Furia Roja.
