The biggest lesson we've learned during the 2023 NBA Playoffs is to never count the Miami Heat out. Even though they have managed to defy the odds against them each round so far, I find myself doubting the team once again. I just do not see how they could possibly climb the mountain and defeat the Denver Nuggets after losing three games in the series already.

Joker and Murray both had 30-point triple-doubles in game 3, that's totally unheard of. That one-two combo is virtually impossible for Miami to stop. Then you've got guys like Aaron Gordon who force mismatches pretty much every possession. There isn't a guy on the Heat strong enough to handle him and he's their second option in terms of bigs.

Jimmy Butler has yet to have one of his Himmy moments during this series. He's not playing terribly, but obviously, it hasn't been good enough to lead his team to more than one victory. It seems as though the Heat will not fulfill the wishes of all the underdog supporters. The team is doomed to fail now that they are heading back to Denver for the next game. Denver has one of the best home records in the league and is notorious for having a difficult environment to adjust to due to the extremely high elevation. Miami may have won game 2 in Denver, but I think it was a fluke. It was Denver's only loss at home through the entirety of the playoffs so far.

I'm glad I'm not a major fan of either two team, so I'm not too worried about who wins. I honestly just want this season to be over already, I'm getting tired of watching games. Plus, I'm anxious to find out the punishment for Ja Morant.

My prediction is that the series will end on Monday night after game 5 in Denver. I wish the Heat luck, but they are going to need a whole lot of luck to be able to conquer the likes of Nikola Jokić and his squad of ballers.

What do you think is going to happen with the 2023 NBA Finals?

I don’t see Denver falling at this point. Might as well go ahead and crown them champions finally.

Well this series so far has demonstrated what I thought before it started the nuggets are a far better team right now, but I think Miami can extend the series to six games, if Butler and Adebayo can stop Jokic and Murray at least to more down to earth numbers

You’re right. These teams are mismatched in a big way. Miami has heart though, so I wouldn’t be surprised if they win at least one more game. But probably nothing more than that. I wouldn’t be surprised at all if Denver closes this one out with the next game.
