And, finally, the day came to start the adventure in Rabona. First of all, I introduce myself. I'm Dani, @danideuder, and you can also find me playing in Splinterlands. Although to introduce myself, better this text that I did in its day and that, since then, has not changed.

In this series that I title, the Rabona Chronicles, I am going to tell, from the beginning, my path in the game. My first steps, my mistakes, my sure few successes and my development from scratch to where my ability to understand the game reaches. They say that when you make a mistake you have to learn from it. And what better way to learn from a mistake than to have it written down to analyze and correct it. That is the idea of this series that, except for unforeseen events, will tell you week by week my evolution in the game. The evolution of Real Valladolid in the Rabona universe.

MY FIRST DAY AT THE OFFICE

After completing the tedious administrative procedures, Danideuder was able to sign the appropriate contracts and receive the management of the club. After reviewing all the details and sections of the game, already on this first day and waiting for the season to start, several steps were taken. Let's go with them.

1.- CLUB NAME

Obviously, the first management has to be the name of the club. In honor of my city, the club will be called Real Valladolid. We'll see if in the future I don't regret it when I'm not able to get out of the last divisions of the league. The bet is risky but it will be worth it, I think. 😅

2.- THE PLAYERS

The next step is to introduce yourself to the squad. A squad that, as is logical, has a very low level but hopes inversely proportional to its level. Players of several different nationalities and some ideas that already arise in the head of the coach when analyzing the abilities of his players.

My best players, at least statistically, are an Austrian defender and an Argentine goalkeeper. This can give me an idea of what kind of team I'm going to be in this first season.

3.- SCOUTING

Yes, with only 11 players we are going to give the scout a job. My habit in these football games is to stay away from the transfer market as much as possible in the first few days. Until I fully understand the rules and the impact of each skill in the game, I prefer not to spend money on transfers, which, for sure, will only help me waste money in the first days. A money, on the other hand, that must be spent wisely as in real life.

Thus, the result of the scouting process resulted in the appearance of a Dutch goalkeeper with a rather strange name: Jon Doe. He has a lower level than my starting goalkeeper, but this way at least I already have two goalkeepers on the squad and I make sure that there are no problems with injuries or penalties for the starting goalkeeper: Marco Antonio Álvarez.

4.- THE STADIUM

And, to finish, the last step in my first day at the helm of the club is the remodeling of the stadium. For now, I am satisfied with increasing the capacity to level 1 and already having capacity for 100 fans. More aspects of the stadium will likely be added before the start of the new season, but take a closer look at that section of the game guide first.

LAST CONCLUSIONS

I still don't know my rivals or in which division I'm going to start. Something that I am already looking forward to but for which we will have to wait a couple more days. How many human rivals will I have? Will there be many bots in my league? Will I be able to achieve promotion and a good financial result in the debut season? We will see all this this week and I will tell you about it in the second chapter.

This has been my first contact with the game and my first performances leading my new team. Now it's time to continue reviewing the game guide and the tutorials that are in peakd. The first steps are important and you have to take them slowly but surely. In the next chapter I will tell you how the beginning of the season has gone and what other steps have been taken in the club's offices. Until then, enjoy the game!
