Venezuela Campeón en Phygital Games - Fui Invitado a la Rueda de Prensa [ESP-ENG]
El viernes me invitaron a una rueda de prensa y fui sin saber muy bien de qué trataba. Cuando llegué me llevé la gran sorpresa y quedé gratamente asombrado en muchos sentidos.
La primera gran impresión fue del lugar donde se realizaría la rueda de prensa; sin embargo de esto les hablaré más adelante en el post.
Después de asombrarme por el lugar, saludé a algunos amigos. El principal de ellos, quien me invitó, Jorge Romero dueño de Streamer Arena. Como muchos ya sabrán he trabajado algunas cosas con ellos, como por ejemplo un taller de marca personal que dicté a su equipo.
En ese momento fue cuando comencé a entender de qué se trataba. Estaban llegando de un torneo en Rusia donde fueron campeones en una disciplina y subcampeones en otra.
On Friday I was invited to a press conference and I went without knowing very well what it was about. When I arrived I was pleasantly surprised and amazed in many ways.
The first great impression was the place where the press conference would be held; however, I will tell you more about this later in the post.
After being amazed by the place, I greeted some friends. The main one of them, who invited me, Jorge Romero owner of Streamer Arena. As many of you may already know I have worked with them on a few things, such as a personal branding workshop I gave to their team.
That's when I started to understand what it was all about. They were coming from a tournament in Russia where they were champions in one discipline and runners up in another.
Lo mejor de todo es que se trata de un nuevo modelo de actividad deportiva, que combina los esports (video juegos deportivos) y deportes tradicionales. Esto se llama Phygital Games of the Future, organizado por una empresa que convocó a equipos de varios países, en 23 disciplinas deportivas.
Phygital consiste en jugar el video juego y después pasar a competir en físico. De esta manera los equipos venezolanos comenzaban jugando en una consola y pasaban después a la chancha.
Best of all, it is a new model of sporting activity, combining esports (video sports games) and traditional sports. This is called Phygital Games of the Future, organized by a company that summoned teams from several countries, in 23 sports disciplines.
Phygital consists of playing the video game and then going on to compete physically. In this way, the Venezuelan teams started playing on a console and then moved on to the field.
Las disciplinas en las que participó el equipo de Libertadores Phygital Team fueron: Phygital fútbol. Phygital basket y VR Rhythm Simulator.
En Phygital Fútbol quedaron campeones y en Phygital Basket subcampeones. En ambas clasificaron para el mundial del próximo año. En VR Rhythm Simulator llegaron a octavos de final.
The disciplines in which the Libertadores Phygital Team team participated were: Phygital soccer. Phygital Basket and VR Rhythm Simulator.
They were champions in Phygital Soccer and runners-up in Phygital Basket. In both they qualified for next year's World Cup. In VR Rhythm Simulator they reached the round of 16.
Se vivió una tremenda emoción en la rueda de prensa, sobretodo cuando hablaron los jugadores. Muy emotivo el acto y todos mantenían la felicidad y euforia, como si fuese en ese momento que ganaron.
Esto es algo que promete mucho. Es el futuro de los deportes. Quedé impactado con todo lo que vi y seguramente no es ni el 5% de lo que puede apreciar un espectador cercano.
Hablaron de la cantidad de personas que vieron el torneo. No voy a decir la cifra porque todavía no me la creo y quiero investigar más. Lo que sí es indudable es el impacto mundial que está teniendo ahora y que tendrá en el futuro.

There was tremendous emotion at the press conference, especially when the players spoke. The event was very emotional and everyone was very happy and euphoric, as if they had won at that moment.
This is something that promises a lot. It is the future of sports. I was shocked with everything I saw and surely it is not even 5% of what a close spectator can appreciate.
They talked about the number of people who watched the tournament. I am not going to say the number because I still do not believe it and I want to investigate more. What is undoubted is the worldwide impact it is having now and will have in the future.

El lugar donde se realizó la rueda de prensa es un bellísimo Karting llamado Foodkart ubicado en el Centro Comercial Cerro Verde. También tiene un área de restaurante, video juegos y mesas de pool.
Cuenta con una amplia barra donde ofrecen gran variedad de kocteles. Los precios de la comida son medios. El karting vale $24 por 7 minutos.
Por supuesto que realizan eventos y cuentan con esa tarima donde se realizó la rueda de prensa.
Place
The place where the press conference was held is a beautiful Karting called Foodkart located in the Cerro Verde Shopping Center. It also has a restaurant area, video games and pool tables.
It has a large bar where they offer a great variety of cocktails. Food prices are average. Karting is $24 for 7 minutes.
Of course they hold events and have that stage where the press conference was held.
