I didn’t sleep well last night. I was buzzing with energy, I think because I started playing a new video game that I’ve been excited about, Monster Train. I don’t know how scientific this is, but I’ve got a theory that the body tries to stay in “conserve/store energy” mode when you’re experiencing negativity and frustration in your life and is happy to go into “consume energy” mode when things seem to be going well and you’re achieving goals. I think that playing a fun new game was enough of a contrast to how things have been going lately that my metabolism mode-switched, but then I had energy that my body wanted to burn instead of lying in bed so I was restless.
