@dannewton just finished a 9.22km run, that lasted for 57 minutes.
This run helped dannewton burn 750.0 calories.

Description from Strava:

Last week I mentioned extending some of my runs home from work, as a way of increasing the total distance run each week. I could just keep extending the long run, but thats gonna end-up being top heavy at some point, and I really need to balance out the mileage throughout the week instead of ALL of it on Saturdays.

Last week I tried a route which took a detour West on the Water railway, and these week I've tried a route that goes in the other direction, heading East-ish through town, before looping back home

Todays route took me past the Brayford Pool. It's usually a hive of activity with restaurant goers, but probably a lull at eh time (4:30ish) that I ran down here

Looking over the other side of the Brayford, to see the buildings of the University of Lincoln

From the Brayford, I then headed along Tritton Road, and down Dixon Street.

From Dixon Street, turn right and take a path towards Boultham Park

*Boultham Park is of course the location of my 'local' parkrun event, but I wasn't going to the park today. Instead I was just going to make use of the path to avoid the busier High Street which runs pretty much parallel to this.

It's been ages since I've run down this path, and made a lovely change of scenery. Really quiet and peaceful, with just a couple of dog walkers, and several cyclists commuting home from work.

Looking over the River Witham, towards the Bridge in the distance

The Bridge I recognized from the times Irun to parkrun... crossing over this bridge takes me back onto the High Street and then I can start to head home.

Total distance today was just over 9km. Its a useful increase to the 6.5km I usually run home, but I still want to eek out the distance a little more. Will have to check the map to see if I can select a slightly longer route ideally 11-13km.

After 3 days of running (Sun was 22km, Mon was 6.5km, today was 9km) I will be having the scheduled rest day tomorrow, and so I have until Thursday PM to pick out a longer route... I would still like it to feature the river-side path I ran down today, I really enjoyed tonight's run!

That's a decent distance and looks like a nice place to do it. The evenings are really drawing in now, so make the most of what daylight you can get.

'twas lovely!

I know we've had more showers today so theres plenty of black clouds around, but tonight it seemed to get darker really quickly. Got home at 5:30, and by 6:30 it was pitch black.

I've found my headtorch, but its rechargeable only, and I've misplaced the fippin' charging cable for it! I've searched the house for it, and no luck so far...

I think the photos are misleading to be honest... the green 'ground' on the side of the brayford isn't actually 'ground', its scum or algae thats built up... it does look deceiving lol!
