@dannewton just finished a 12.3km run, that lasted for 78 minutes.
This run helped dannewton burn 970.0 calories.

Description from Strava: Yet again it is a Monday, and after felt like a really short weekend which disappeared in a flash, its back to the grind this morning. Once again I walked into work this morning, and the weather gods were on my side for once as the heavy rain that arrived in the early hours of this morning stopped 20 minutes before I left the house.

After a busy, but relatively straight forward day at work, it was time to head home. Typically Mondays run would be one of the shorter runs of the week, with an easy 6km plod home. Tuesday would then be a longer run. However, I have physio tomorrow evening, and so needed to swap things around so I can attend that t 5:45.

Tomorrow will be the easy short run, and so today needs* to be longer.

*to be fair, 'needs' is the wrong word, but I want it to be longer!

I'm still exploring different routes to find a suitable path home, and todays effort involved me heading out along Greetwell Rd, cutting back down Monks Rd, and then heading back out towards the Bypass to then plod the rest of the way home. The random back and forth helped eek the distance out to over 12km in total, which is a useful distance for now.

By the time I reached the bypass, it was already dark, hence having to resort to a headtorch. It wasn't enjoyable in the dark, mostly as I was running into a really strong headwind for the 3 and 1/2 miles of bypass path.

Arriving back home, I tripped over a parcel on my front door step, which turned out to be the Gojira long-sleeved t-shirt in the cover image.

II have one long sleeve t-shirt at the moment, and its become quite useful when walking to work in the morning... a hoodie/jumper is too warm, but just a short sleeve t-shirt is too cold. a long-sleeve is just right!

Last week I had a perusal online, and found this. The image is taken from their album From Mars to Sirius, which is one of my faveourites from them. A progressive, technical Death Metal band, from France... really good fun, and throroughly recomended if you like that sort of thing. Check out thier album on Youtube, or follow the link if strava allows it -

About the Athlete: Living in the UK, I am an intermittent Runner, but always striving for more consistency. When I'm not training I can be found photographing insects or listening to really loud angry music (which is the best type of music obviously!)
