Description from Strava: Decided to split the standard long run into 2 this weekend, just to mix it up I guess!

I aimed for 10km today, and then there will be another 10km ish run tomorrow to make up the total distance needed. And as it was a shorter effort today than I would normally do, it was an opportunity to stretch the legs out and push the pace a little harder than usual... and as you can see by the list of segment PB's it was a lot quicker than the usual times on this route.

It felt really good to push on for once instead of 'easy zone 2' plodding around!

It reminds me that I need to start fitting in some speedwork into my weekly training at some point, whether thats short sharp intervals, hill reps or temp/threshold sessions. The hardest part will be trying to work out how to fit that in as part of my normal weekly routine

Run done, its time to crack on with the rest of my weekend. I've finished cleaning/tidying and sorting after my few days away, but now its time to a head start on some of the jobs for next week, including starting the final module of learning for AAT level 2 exam

And then later this afternoon I'll be heading out for a meal with Dad, along with my brother and his family. Its gonna be at the Beefeater again (and I'm not overly a fan of it due to the lack of choice... but the burger is tasty so I guess I'll make do with that lol
