Description from Strava: The weather has been atrocious here recently... maybe not that cold, but relentlessly wet and windy. Monday morning was a washout, and it was miserable all day. The forecast for Tuesday morning promised to be an improvement (ie only slightly damp), but it was absolutely chucking it down when I opened the curtains at 6am this morning.
And so the planned walk into work this morning was replaced by a soggy bus ride

Its been grim all day while sat in the office, with rain lashing down outside. And so it was remarkable that by late afternoon, it started to ease off to be 'just' some misty drizzle.
Still not pleasant, but a marked improvement on what we had this morning!
It was a frustratingly busy afternoon, and as I was the inly person in out little office, I struggled to keep on top of the workload and get everything done. At 4:30 (30 mins late by now) I decided I had done enough, and cleared the urgent stuff. Anything left would just have to wait until the next morning.
Decision made, I logged out, got changed, and then headed outside into the damp and drizzly night. And although I was late out, I still wanted to do the longer run home that I had planned (and that I try to do a couple of times each week).
Today I decided (after a slight detour along Tritton Road) to head straight down the High Street, out of Lincoln and along Brant Road. Its annoying running at this time of year, as there are ultra bright headlights from cars everywhere, and it makes it really hard to see where I'm going. I don't mind the odd puddle from pot holes, but I really don't want to misjudge a curb and roll and ankle.
After Brant Road, I took a left turn up Station Road into Waddington, and looped back towards Bracebridge Heath

Running-wise I felt pretty good out there, despite the rain, puddles and headlights... and it was a comfortable enough 14km run home this evening.
Tomorrow will be a rest day, by which I mean I will be on the bus both in and out of work, and guess what... the forecast is meant to be dry and sunny all day... its just not fair!
I'll be back for a walk/run on Thursday, and yep you guessed it, that will likely be wet again!
