**And so, after 4 hazy days of too much cheese, and watching too much rubbish on TV, it's time to return to a bit of normality. Today was my first day back at work...
unlike some, I'm not able to have the whole festive period of work, and to be honest, the idea of being off all the way through to the start of January doesn't appeal in the slightest. 4 Days is plenty.
...and of course normality means walking to work:

Compared to the weeks before xmas, the weather today was cold but dry, perfect for walking in. We've gone past the Winter Solstice, but its gonna be awhile before we start seeing lighter mornings, so of course most of the walk in was in darkness.
After a surprisingly busy day considering half the site has skeleton staff in, it was time to head for home. The run just about started in daylight (more dusk really) but it was completely dark by the time I made it home


The run felt pretty good, and I suppose part of that is the lack of running over the xmas break, which has given some much needed rest I guess!
It will be yet more xmas leftovers for tea tonight, and then there will be more normality as I get back into studying for my accountancy course (exam is now just 3 weeks away!)
